We used to play here on our family vacations, 20 years ago. On return, the place has been very well maintained, and looks as good as ever. My wife and I had a very fun time and the staff were super friendly.

This was a great course and you can really tell that it's been well-maintained. The course has interesting challenges that make the game feel worthwhile. I enjoyed the theme and would likely pick it as my first putt-putt choice if we return to OBX.

Went with a group of 6 and we had a great time! The staff was very friendly and even told us about their rain check policy because there was a chance of showers.
The course itself was very well maintained and enjoyable for everyone. As far as mini golf goes, it was well worth $12 a person and somewhere we’d visit again if we come back to the area.

A great time for the whole family! Fun pirate-themed course that is well maintained. The holes weren't too challenging for the kids, and kept them entertained. Also had good views of the sunset!

Absolutely disgusting experience that left me shaken, furious, and heartbroken on behalf of the people I support. Do not waste your time or money here if you care about basic human dignity, inclusion, or even the bare minimum of treating paying customers like they belong in a public space.
I brought a small group of adult clients from the residential support program I work with. These are individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities—people who have spent years building confidence, practicing social skills, learning how to navigate community settings, and simply wanting the same ordinary fun that everyone else takes for granted. Mini golf is supposed to be one of the most accessible, low-pressure, joyful activities available. We had called ahead days earlier to confirm group rates, accessibility, and whether there would be any issues with our group size or the fact that some of the individuals move a bit more slowly, need occasional verbal prompts, or may laugh a little louder or take longer on a hole. We were told everything was fine. “Come on down, everyone’s welcome.”
When we arrived, the tone shifted almost immediately. The staff member at the counter gave us a long, visible once-over the second we walked in. Not the friendly “how many players?” look. The other kind. The kind that already has a verdict before a single word is spoken. We were asked, in a pointed way, whether “everyone understood the rules” and whether we would need “extra supervision.” One of my clients, who is nonverbal and communicates with gestures and a tablet, was spoken to in an exaggerated, sing-song voice as if he were a toddler. Another client who has some repetitive movements and occasionally needs a moment to process instructions was stared at while the staff person muttered something under her breath to a coworker. We paid the full group rate without complaint. We collected clubs and balls. We started playing.
Within the first three holes the problems escalated. A different employee approached us and asked us to “keep it moving” because we were “holding up other groups.” We were not. There were empty holes ahead of us and only a couple of casual groups behind us who did not seem bothered in the slightest. One of my clients takes a little longer to line up a putt because of motor planning differences; another sometimes needs a gentle reminder about turn-taking. That is the entire extent of it. We were still completing holes in a normal amount of time. Yet the staff person hovered, arms crossed, making comments loud enough for us to hear about how “some people just shouldn’t be out here if they can’t keep up.” When I calmly explained that we had a mixed group of abilities and that we were being considerate of others, the response was a flat “Well, this is a business, not a daycare.”
That sentence alone should tell you everything you need to know about the culture at this place.
