  Wet 'n Wild Emerald Pointe Water Park was absolutely amazing! There is plenty of parking, and it's all incredibly close to the entrance. Upon walking in, everything is painted so vibrantly and thoughtfully that it genuinely feels like stepping into a tropical water park paradise. My family and I loved our experience there. All of the ride operators were nice, polite, and very attentive to our safety, which allowed us to just relax and have the most fun. If you want to try two great rides, head to the back for the tall, white slide that goes straight down—don't be afraid, just do it! Also, track down the ride with the four tubes that plays music; do that one as much as possible, LOL. I was able to hit every single water ride in the park on my first day, and it was so much fun. Do it all, including the wave pool, which is the largest and most fun I've ever experienced. Definitely try the lazy river; it's awesome as well. I love how the kids' park is completely contained in its own area, so you aren't walking to and from different parts of the larger park. It was very nice seeing my niece and nephew enjoying themselves on those rides safely. Up front, the shops are small but have everything you would need, including all the classic food that goes with a great summer day at a water park. To top it off, the locker rooms are very nice, and the shower areas are incredibly spacious. Highly recommend!

  Two huge problems with this water park chain. 1. You pay no matter what. I am literally allergic to sunlight. I came here with my sister to help watch the bags. I was in full clothing, pants/long sleeve shirt/hat. I tried to get a refund since I wasn't actually using the park, just sitting in what little shade I could find, watching the bags, reading a book. I offered to contact my doctor to send the water park proof that this is real, they don't care. I paid $60+ to not enjoy a single thing. I guess they haven't figured out technology exists that would make it easy for them to allow people who can use the rides to use them, and for those who can't or don't want to use them to not have to pay for a service not being used. RFID bracelets have been in use for over a decade. With how fast tech advances, it's old news. Maybe it's one of those old companies that can't keep up because the owners are old and don't feel like it or the new owners just want to piggyback off the work the original owners put in and not improve with the times. I don't know, but it's not worth a second trip. 2. They don't care about kids. My sister found a lost boy, about five years old. She told an employee. His response, "What do you want me to do about it?" She kept an eye on him, returned him to his parents. Unfortunately, the mom didn't seem bothered. When they were closing, the same kid was hanging out by the exit gate. I walked him back in to his parents who were not even close to being in sight of their kid and again they seemed not to care. So, the parents don't care, the employees don't care...that kid is lucky he didn't end up on the news. I don't know if it is just this location that needs to up their game, but it's probably all of them. Highly suggest finding a different water park, especially if you have kids or are going just to support or hang out with family and friends.

  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Wonderful Experience — Don’t Let Old Reviews Decide for You! I was planning a trip to Wet ’n Wild Emerald Pointe in Greensboro with my 9-year-old nephew, Jaxon. I hadn’t been there in about 20 years, since my son was that age, so I started reading recent reviews to see what had changed. Honestly, I was a little concerned. I read reviews from the past year saying there were no picnic tables, that you couldn’t bring in bottled water or a soft-sided cooler with drinks, that employees were rude, that you were charged for cups of ice, and even that some of the rides were falling apart. With all of that in mind, I decided to call the park before our trip. That phone call completely changed my mind. I spoke with an employee named Elizabeth, and she was absolutely incredible. She stayed on the phone with me for 10–15 minutes, patiently answered every question I had, and was so professional, polite, and accommodating. She even asked if there was anything else she could help me with and encouraged me to call back if I thought of any other questions. She made me feel like a valued customer before I had even stepped foot in the park. I made it a point to find Elizabeth when we arrived because I wanted to thank her in person—and I’m so glad I did. Our experience was wonderful. We found picnic tables, we were able to bring in our permitted soft-sided cooler with water and Gatorade, and when we needed ice, we were given a cup of ice at no charge. The employees we encountered were friendly and helpful, and the park was clean and well maintained. We had a fantastic day! Yes, ticket prices have increased over the years—but so has the cost of just about everything. For us, it was money well spent. My biggest advice to anyone considering a visit is please don’t base your decision on one review—or even a bunch of older reviews. Check when those reviews were written. Things change, management changes, and policies change. If you have questions, call the park and get the current information for yourself. I’m so glad I did. Thank you, Elizabeth, for changing my mind before our visit and helping make our day so special. Jaxon and I had an amazing time, and we absolutely plan to come back next season! ❤️💦

  I came here with my family and everything was great! i saw lots of reviews about not being able to bring in refillable water bottles, but we brought ours through with no issue! all the lifeguards were well aware and most of the staff were friendly and eager to help! however, when i went to purchase a meal at the food court i just wanted a side of fries because i had gotten a taco bowl (which was delicious) there were no “grab and go” sides of fries. so i just got the hotdog meal which was advertised on the TV menu as $12.99. when we went to checkout the cashier said “$16 even” which i didn’t think about and she asked if i wanted a receipt and of course i said yes. i stepped away and my boyfriend reminded me the hotdog should have been $14 at most. so i looked at my receipt and saw i was charged for a cheeseburger meal. so i went back and kindly told the cashier that she mistakenly charged me for a cheeseburger and i opened my box to show her i got a hotdog. she was very rude and asked me what i meant. i said the hotdog meal should be $12.99 not $16. she told me everything on the menu was the same price. and i asked even if was advertised as $12.99 she said yes it’s all the same. SO BEWARE!!! if you are getting food inside the park they are all the same price at $16.

  SHOCKED. This place was great. I love how the park is laid out with short walking distances between rides compared to parks like Water Country USA with long walks in between sections. Whirlpools in the wave pool were so much fun and insane. Lifeguards were vigilant. Food was kinda expensive but that’s to be expected. I liked that all the food options were very close to each other so you can shop around. There’s water refill stations BUT the water did taste a little sus. I had no trouble bringing my water bottle in or going through security with my large swim bag. The bathroom area was kinda a highlight 🤣. Even though there were a bunch of people in there it wasn’t too crowded and they had a bunch of fans in there keeping it cool in 90 degrees. I am a former high school swimmer so I know showers and those are NICE. Super clean and the water wasn’t flooding all over the floor like in most of the locker rooms I frequent. They also have nice changing areas. You could leave your lunch in a cooler and then get your hand stamped and eat at the tables located outside. Rides were fun. Not as high thrill as some of the more theme parks but still really fun. Lines were long for a Monday, but not terrible. It was easy to leave your stuff in the tubes before rides. I felt safe leaving my stuff their and the environment felt really safe overall even though it’s in Greensboro 🤣
