  If you're a real EDM, techno, or house music lover, this place is absolute trash. I've never heard worse music played in a club. The DJs are PROS at killing the vibe, they never seem to know when to drop the beat and somehow manage to ruin every song. If you've ever been to ClubSpace Miami or pretty much any club in Europe, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. Trio's DJs could literally burp into the mic, and people would still be dancing and vibing. They'd have to pay ME to go there again. Just absolute trash. Please do better. Charlotte, please let your taste in electronic music grow. Stop hyping something just because it sounds different from country music. The DJs aren't improving, and Trio isn't paying for better DJs because y'all keep accepting whatever they're offering right now. Help Charlotte grow its EDM, techno, and house music scene. We deserve better... smh

  In and out real quick. Imagine being charged $15 to get in and it's 1:15am, and they close at 2am. LOL.. I guess this is the smaller group of places that still charge for entry in 2026 and will most likely have overpriced watered down drinks. There's plenty of other clubs/bars in Uptown Charlotte with free entry. Unless you're just passionate about this place, save your money.

  Trio CLT is a well-rounded venue that delivers a solid nightlife experience in Charlotte. I attended for the kickoff of DJ Nic Vans’ tour and was pleasantly impressed. The upstairs space is notably generous, allowing for comfortable movement even when the crowd builds as the night progresses - arriving earlier in the evening is a smart move to take advantage of that. The venue layout accommodates a good-sized crowd, and the energy on the dance floor was electric throughout the night. Overall, Trio CLT is a reliable option for live DJ events and nights out in Charlotte.
