Founded by Ed Putney in 1971, the shop has been a destination for serious players and collectors for over fifty years. We operate by appointment only. Every guitar is stored in its case and original box — nothing hangs on a wall or sits under lights. When you arrive, we pull your instruments specifically for you, ensuring pristine condition every time. We carry respected makers like Gibson, Fender, Martin, Collings, and Kevin Ryan, among others. Once I decided to purchase, was helpful setting up custom payment for my particular needs, and prepped the instrument beautifully. Arrived quickly, in perfect condition and perfectly setup the way you want it to be. Great team, unbelievable guitars, they really know their stuff and are excellent at showcasing the instruments. Wish I could buy instruments from them all the time!

Griffin was above and beyond helpful when I had questions and left me plenty of time by myself to explore the many different incredible guitars that they pulled prior to my arrival. I love this business model! A room to myself with killer guitars and amps for me to test out and nobody around. You can go wild without embarrassing yourself in a room full of Guthrie Govans, lol. As an added bonus we got to meet Eddie himself, what a pleasure! If you're into nice gear, I highly recommend making an appointment when you're in the St. Louis area.
- FEFred Elig6 days ago5.0I’ve been a bass player since 1965. In ‘66 or ‘76, I saw a brand new mapleglo Rickenbacker 4005 hanging in a guitar store. It was the most beautiful instrument that I had ever seen. Now, 61 years later, I finally have a twin of that mapleglo 4005 thanks to Eddie’s Guitars. Since the 4005 was re-issued in 2024, I’ve shopped around and found that Eddie’s had two new ones to choose from. In a few days, one of the came to live with me. Everything about the transaction was perfect!
