The history of Eddie's Guitars dates back to 1971, when shop owner Ed Putney went into business. His passion for music dates back to the 1950s when he began taking classical piano lessons. In the home parlor where he took his lessons, Ed's passion for guitar was born. Sitting across from the Steinway Grand Piano where he sat were two Gibson guitars that he lusted to learn how to play. Unfortunately, it was not in the cards for him to learn, as his parents forbid him to play guitar. They were worried he “would turn out like Elvis Presley!” Throughout being in business in the '70s and '80s, Ed realized his passion for guitars could be translated into another area — sales. It was during that time that he committed to selling the best guitars.
Once of the best purchasing experiences I've ever had! I called with a question and talked with Donnie who was more than courteous & so easy to visit with. A deal was made and purchase was completed within minutes plus the guitar arrived within a couple of days. This was my first experience with Eddie's but it won't be my last! Thanks again Donnie and Eddie's Guitars!

I was at Eddie's last weekend and had an excellent experience. Griffin was kind enough to set me up with Galloup, Ryan and Robbins guitars to play. They have a great selection of guitars! I was also lucky enough to meet Eddie and get a tour of the forthcoming showroom space. Everyone was helpful. I highly recommend visiting Eddies now, or later this year (2026) when their show room is completed.

Wanted to buy a PRS custom 24 to treat myself after a life milestone. Originally looked into Sweetwater, but did not find what I was looking for. Found Eddie’s Guitars while doing online research and send a message via their website. Donny replied almost immediately and offered to set up an appointment the next day. I walked in, they had the 2 guitars I was interested in set out, tuned, and ready to go. The entire experience was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had and Donny was incredible. Griffin also stopped in and was very knowledgeable and helpful. I walked out a few hours later with one of the most beautiful guitars I’ve ever seen. 10/10 experience. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a tailored experience when buying a very expensive guitar.
