They don't leave room for walk-ins or make any exceptions. You get there early because they are so strict with start and end times, and you want to get your money's worth. They have a lot of attractions, but their arcade is ridiculous: there are like 3 games, and each costs a dollar. Not really adult-friendly: who wants to sit while the kids play? No wifi password. They opened back in March and are already posting chicken strips and other foods. My daughter enjoys it, but it won't be a regular stop for us. Will continue to go to Urban Air and Skyzone. Better quality, better team members.
Very fun. This place is good for getting energy out or spending money, everything here is good. The slides, the food. Even the little things like the swinging stuff. The one thing that was slightly bad was that I accidentally flipped off the swing and hit my neck, but I'm okay. I also won't blame this place for that. But the best part was the Mega Launch, it is the big steep yellow slide with a air mat at the bottom. It is verybfun but you will be scared the first time but after the first time the rest of the times will be crazy fun. I 100% this place. Best to go on weekends by the way. Go here now!

Not recommended for birthday celebrations.
While the park itself is clean and the kids had a blast on the slides, the birthday party experience was very disappointing. We pre-ordered extra pizzas, but they only brought out three. Our hostess was late (claiming Sunday traffic), leaving us without assistance at the start. When we followed up on the missing food, the kitchen seemed unaware of the order. The hostess offered return tickets as an apology, but what we actually needed was the food we ordered for hungry children, we did not took the tickets.
The logistics were poor: we were only given 30 minutes for food (incomplete) and cake before being escorted out to the door, and they still asked for a tip despite the lack of service. My son also never received the t-shirt we paid for during booking. The party area is just a crowded table section that felt unsafe and chaotic—we even believe a gift was taken by a neighboring table which was one toy he was hopping for. I agree with other reviewers: visit for the fun, but go elsewhere for the food and party hosting.

Slick City in Troy earns a solid 4 stars from me. It is a fun, energetic spot for families and the core experience really delivers.
The positives: Calling in ahead was easy and the staff answered professionally with great attitudes both times. The place was very busy, but I took that as lively rather than a negative. I did not mind the 15 to 20 minute wait to get in. I asked my kid, and he gives this place 5 stars. He had a blast.
A few improvement areas: The walk-in process felt a bit disorganized and the team seemed stretched thin for the volume. Food was a challenge for us. Large pizzas were listed on the menu, but after waiting in the food line we were told pizza was only available for parties that day due to limited dough. At the same time, outside food is not allowed, so it would help to have more consistent availability for regular guests, especially on busy days. Also, public WiFi was not set up yet. Not a deal breaker, but something to plan for.
Important tip: You have to book tickets online. I strongly recommend reserving your time slot early. We booked the night prior and I originally saw the 12:30 PM slot I wanted, but after waiting a few hours most of the time slots we preferred were no longer available.
Neutral observation and suggestion: I did not notice any EV chargers on site. Adding a couple of chargers would be a nice upgrade over time, since many family destinations are starting to offer them.
We will likely come back since the kids love it, and with a few operational improvements this could easily be a 5 star experience.
I also wrote a longer, detailed breakdown of our visit on the SquareZones blog if anyone wants more specifics.

If you’re searching for a place in Metro Detroit that blends cleanliness, excitement, safety, and pure adrenaline, look no further than Slick City in Troy, Michigan. This is hands‑down one of the most impressive indoor adventure parks I’ve ever stepped into — and trust me, I’ve been to enough family attractions to know the difference between “fun” and “FUN.”
Slick City is the second one.
First Impressions: Clean, Organized, and High‑Energy
The moment you walk in, you can tell this place is run right.
The facility is bright, modern, and spotless, and the staff keeps everything moving smoothly. It’s the kind of environment where parents instantly relax, kids instantly explode with excitement, and adults who swore they were “just watching” suddenly start eyeing the slides like Olympic hopefuls.
The Slides: Fast, Smooth, and Addictively Fun
Let’s talk about the main attraction — the slides.
These aren’t your average playground slides. These are engineered-for-speed, gravity-powered thrill machines that somehow manage to be both safe and wildly fun at the same time. Kids love them. Teens love them. Adults love them. Even grandparents have been spotted flying down these things with the kind of joy usually reserved for lottery winners.
Every slide is designed to be smooth, controlled, and surprisingly comfortable. You don’t get that “I’m too old for this” feeling — you get the “why didn’t I do this sooner?” feeling.
Clean Bathrooms (Yes, It Matters)
I have to highlight this because it’s rare:
The bathrooms are spacious, clean, and actually pleasant.
No mystery puddles.
No questionable smells.
No “let’s just hold it until we get home.”
It’s clear the staff takes pride in keeping the entire facility spotless, and it shows.
Secure Lockers — Only $6
Locker rentals are $6, and they’re secure, easy to use, and big enough for shoes, bags, and personal items. You can lock everything up and enjoy the park without worrying about your stuff. It’s one of those small details that makes the whole experience smoother.
Important Note: You MUST Wear Their Grip Socks
This is non‑negotiable — and honestly, it’s a good thing.
To use the facility, you must purchase and wear their special grip socks.
They help keep the park clean, prevent slipping, and make the whole experience safer. Plus, they’re comfortable and you get to keep them.
(And let’s be real — everyone looks a little funnier in matching grip socks, which only adds to the entertainment.)
All‑Ages Fun — Truly
One of the best things about Slick City is that it’s not just for kids.
It’s not just for teens.
It’s not just for adults.
It’s for everyone.
Whether you’re:
- a parent trying to burn off your kid’s energy
- a teen looking for something exciting to do
- an adult who forgot what fun feels like
- or a grandparent who still has a little daredevil left in the tank
Slick City delivers.
Overall Experience: A Blast From Start to Finish
If I had to sum it up in one sentence:
Slick City Troy is clean, exciting, well‑run, and guaranteed to make you smile — no matter your age.
It’s the kind of place where you walk in expecting to watch, and walk out wondering how you ended up racing strangers down a slide like it was the Indy 500.
Highly recommended. Five stars. A must‑visit for families, friends, and anyone who wants to feel alive again.
