We had such a wonderful experience! Kenzie was an amazing waitress so kind, attentive, and welcoming. She made sure everything was perfect and went above and beyond to make us feel taken care of. Jay, the manager, was also incredibly friendly and professional. It’s clear that they both genuinely care about their guests and creating a great experience. The pizza was absolutely amazing ! Thank you, Kenzie and Jay, for making our visit so enjoyable! We’ll definitely be back. ❤️

I’m extremely disappointed with our experience at Main Event. We paid almost $50 for three people to bowl for one hour, which is already outrageous in my opinion. When we paid, we were told we would receive a text when our lane was ready. We never received a text and ended up waiting 1 hour and 10 minutes. At around 10:55 PM, I finally went up to speak with a manager because they closed at midnight. The manager told me she couldn’t give me my money back, which was completely unacceptable she offered an “bounce back” but I didn’t want that I would never come back after this. After arguing the situation, she eventually refunded my money, but her attitude was extremely rude and unprofessional. We wasted over an hour waiting and never even got to enjoy the experience we paid for. For the price and the way we were treated, I definitely would not recommend Main Event!

Unfortunately, I’m leaving this review after more than four months of trying to resolve our concerns directly with Main Event. We hosted a birthday party on April 12 and paid for the VIP bowling room beginning at 5:00 p.m. When we arrived, another party was still booked on our lanes until 5:45, meaning we lost the first 45 minutes of the time we paid for while our guests were already arriving. The room also was not truly private, as guests from the neighboring party were coming in and out of our space and the divider wall was not down. When we asked the other parties host to bring the wall down, she was very rude and dismissive. We also purchased 20 game cards that were supposed to include three hours of playtime each, but every card only had two hours loaded. We were told the wrong stack of cards had been given to us. There were several other smaller issues that day, but these were the biggest concerns. What has been even more disappointing is the lack of follow-up. I first voiced my concern to the sales team on April 13 and was told the issue would be escalated. Since then, I’ve contacted their team for a follow up many times, contacted corporate twice, and have repeatedly been told that management would call me back. I finally received one call about two/three weeks ago and was told it would be escalated to the general manager, but as of August 15, I still have not received a resolution. We are actually big fans of Main Event and tried for months to resolve this privately before leaving a review. Mistakes happen, but after four months, we simply want Main Event to communicate with us and make right the services and time we paid for but did not receive.

I’ve visited Main event Grapevine in Texas over 50 times for Monday madness. I was a regular twice a month on average. Moved back to Michigan visited newly built location in Taylor. This location seems to be smaller than size normal Main Event. I’m familiar with the layouts and the food. I visited this particular location 2 times. The memories with family and friends are always enjoyable however the service here was not. First time it was a relatively slow weekday wasn’t busy we played pool, it was our only intention of going. Our group of 4 was in the pool table area closest to the front of the building, there were a few customers in the bar area. Our drinks came frequently and the food didn’t take long to arrive. I didn’t really interacted with the bar this particular visit. Great experience 5/5. Saved the review from getting a 2 star. Second time we visited the bar staff was a mess. Pool table area was open and empty all three tables. We choose the one furthest from the front closest to the entrance to the bar where staff goes in and out. Group of 4 again another 4-6 on the way. Bar staff seemed exhausted but it wasn’t busy in my opinion they had to be short staffed. Which ruined our experience. It took too long to get drinks or order food. The plan was bowling, pool tables and bar was just the pit stop till everyone arrived. I reserved a table at the kiosk then returned to the bar and waited to be addressed to retrieve que balls and order drinks. There was no hostess or greeter at the entrance to the bar area anyone who have questions went to the bar and Interrupted the bartenders. I would have ordered more drinks if it didn’t take so long. I ended up only buying 2 drinks I asked the bartender if she could open a tab so I can order multiple drinks and pay all at once at the end, she looked at me like I asked her to solve a complicated math equation. I thought she was training the other coworker she asked him how to do it.🫢 The group I was with had the same experience they waited so long for drinks it ate into the time allotted for bowling holding up our bowling because players who were supposed to be bowling were standing at the bar waiting on drinks. The staff of two didn’t work well together it seems as if one was in training because he had to await the confirmation from the other for almost everything but she also seemed confused about her job herself. He checked IDs and took orders while she made the drinks and rang them up. She made one drink, rang it up moved on to next drink even if you wanted multiple drinks. There was no order to taking orders if you were lucky enough to get her attention and order a drink it took 5 mins to process one drink it was infuriating because she took twice as long ringing up your drink as she did making because it seemed like the program was new to her. The pool table area is too small for 3 tables and the shuffle board. As the night progresses It gets busier, more people less space. Space around the table is a key to forming a shot the tables are too close in my opinion close to the wall on the left and to close to the middle table, made it difficult to make shots because your always in someone’s way or waiting for them to make a shot. We did bowling as well. The pins are on strings it was childlike carnival bowling you can’t convince me is the same as traditional bowling the way the pins fall seem fake. Felt artificial. Ordering drinks in the bowling area took just as long as at the bar

****UPDATE**** If you see the reply from my initial review you can see that they didnt even read it to see that that I already contact corporate customer service. Just a copy and paste response. However customer service made it right and already sent me a gift card to make up for the mistake. ******** I was excited to try this place out while visiting the because they are building one back home. My son and I stopped by for lunch and play some games. When we walked it at 1130 I couldn't find a worker to help us know how things worked (other than seeing the cooks a d a bartender). We walked into the prize area and around the arcade area. Finally ended up at the back in the bowling area and found a worker. Asked her some questions about how this all worked and her response was "im not sure but you can find one of the managers sitting in the dining area and ask them". So I walked in to the dining area and just stood there there for a few minutes before someone walked out of the kitchen area and sat us. Our waiter was good. Before ordering I asked my questions to the waiter and he was able to answer all of them. He left to get clarification about one of my questions which is understandable. Food was good. We did the eat and play deal. We ordered the chicken tenders and a double cheese burger. Both were good. I thought it was ridiculous to be charged extra for sause to dip the chicken in but didnt know until the check came out. When I saw the check it didnt have my discount on it that I asked about before ordering. He apologized and went to get it fixed BUT then came back saying he couldn't apply it. I brought up that he said before ordering that it would apply. He said I know but my manager says I cant. I asked to speak to her and she walked up and I explained my confusion about the situation. Her response was that the prive is what it is and she cant do anything about it. She repeated this a few times. Never apologized for the misunderstanding or the wrong I formation. By the end she did offer to take a drink off the bill. Still never addressing the problem of being told the wrong information. I asked for her information because I was going to call corporate about her attitude and how things were handled. The waiter came back with her card. To my surprise she is not just a service manager but a "certified training manager". If this is the person you have training managers then yoir company is going to fail and explains many of the complaints I see online about this location. So after paying I called corporate and spoke to a representative. They heard me out and seemed shocked to hear about the experience. I gave them her information, and hopefully it doesn't just fall on deaf ears. Even though I was upset I wasnt going to throw away $100 is play credit so we went to play games. It was nice that all the games we tried to play work without any issues. We had a good time playing and liked that we could refill our drink while playing. I was a little disappointed on the selection of prizes. Overall the only reason they got a 2 start was the food quality and that the games all worked. If you do NOT care about customer service then this is the location for you. The customer service on the phone was very helpful and would recommend calling them if you have a bad experience.
