  I took my 6-year-old son to see a movie today, and the experience left a lot to be desired. By the time we bought two tickets, a popcorn, and two drinks, we had already spent around $40 at the concession stand alone. When I went back for what I believed was the complimentary popcorn refill, I was told I didn’t qualify because I hadn’t purchased the extra-large popcorn. The problem is that when I originally bought the popcorn, I specifically asked if refills were included and was told they were. When I explained that, the employee insisted I was wrong and argued with me instead of trying to resolve the situation. Another employee overheard the conversation, took my popcorn, and refilled it without any hesitation. I thanked that employee and then said to the other employee, “See? That’s what customer service is about. You could learn something from that.” I spoke with the manager afterward, who listened to my concerns, and I hope this becomes a coaching opportunity for the employee involved. Movie theaters are already expensive. Families spend a lot of money to enjoy a couple of hours together, and the last thing anyone should have to do is argue over what amounts to about a dollar’s worth of popcorn. Experiences like this are exactly why so many people choose to stay home and stream movies instead of going to the theater. I appreciate the employee who stepped in to help, but the overall customer service experience left a disappointing impression.

  Terrible. My 1st time going to this theater as im usually and MJR house. But this theater is really close to me. Went to see MK2. At 1030pm. There was a family with 7 little kids 5 and under that wete able to come in and sit in the back row. Play on thier tablets and talk the entire time. I seen them before we were going to sit down and knew it would happen. I asked for a refund before the show started and the workers told me they were going to ask the family to leave as the time and film were not appropriate for the little kids. They didnt and yes. It was terrible. Wont ever return.
