  I completely forgot to write a review but we visited this location and Astro was amazing! I believe we did the fair escape room and we were so close to finishing. Astro made the experience great though, and I definitely will come again!

  Came here for my 60th birthday celebration, it was the most fun I've had in a long time! I'm glad we chose the unlimited hints because we did need a few more than 2 hints, but just a few. We did the Once Upon a time room, it was exactly our level for first-timers. We felt brilliant when we would figure out something, and at the same time we were challenged the whole time too. Astro was our guide/attendant - he was amazing, made things fun for us. Highly recommend, definitely coming back for the other rooms!

  Great escape room, nice assortment of puzzles! My husband and I did the Gift escape room, and it was just the right amount of challenging. Just a note, it’s not accessible for all but very cool concept if you’re able to try it out! Our game master (don’t recall his name but long dark hair) was great, and the guy at the front desk was very helpful. Will certainly be back to try the other rooms!!

  My family played through a very entertaining escape room at Red Door Escape Room on Father's Day this year at the Gaithersburg location. There were five of us, and we did the 9/10 difficulty Confinement room. Our Game Master (Mistress?) was great! She explained everything and made sure that we knew about how everything worked and alternatives during the game and gave us options of some things that could be part of the experience. We were well prepared for how things worked and then the clock began. We had a great time and it was a fun and challenging puzzle that, with our allotted three hints provided by our Game Master, we got through with a little time to spare. It was great fun and very inventive and atmospheric. Everyone played a key role at different points of spotting clues, solving puzzles and figuring things out. It was really a lot of fun for everyone. Highly recommended and big shoutout to the friendly and helpful staff!

  I booked 3 rooms for a party of 19. We divided 8/6/5 and everyone had a blast. In particular, the group of 8 Escaped from a Room where the puzzles could be done in parallel so having 8 cooks in the kitchen was not an issue. My group of 6 had 3 first timers and our Game Master, Aliah (sp?) was great with moving us along with clues when we needed them; we did not adhere to the 3 hint challenge. If there is one thing I would lobby Red Room with (and this isn't a criticism of Gaithersburg specifically since Red Room is national) it would be to make more puzzles where the solution is not a set of numbers or a word that unlocks a padlock. That's not to say our room didn't have puzzles that required putting things in order that opened drawers and such but I felt there were an inordinate number of puzzles where you were looking for numbers and letters. But overall, it was a great experience. We had ages 13 to 53 and the best quote of the night was, "It was a great time! I think the kids also enjoyed it, which is not an easy feat." Also, the Red Room staff, both the person I spoke with over the phone to book the large party and the person who checked us all in and helped with final arrangements were super friendly and helpful.
