  Not sure I would come back and support this establishment. Its in a very hot location, they don't have misters of any kind for the outdoor animals. Minimal shade on the tops of their extreamly small enclosures. Hardly any enrichment especially for the poor primates. They just sat and waited in one spot where a keeper would come and feed them a bit of grapes. I assumed the highland cow was a recent rescue but based off past reviews it isnt. The African grey parrot just stayed on the floor and shook, I also found that a bit sad and odd for such an intelligent animal. Lastly, rather than cleaning up a tank that was quite messy, it was covered in black out curtains. I genuinely didnt feel good after leaving. Edit: The point of a review is to share a consumers experience, period. This was my experience. In regards to the heat since you want to be obtuse, the animals are kept in a desolate location. Its mostly dirt. And beyond that is typical high desert vegetation. I imagine it is hot everywhere in the state of Idaho but I'm guessing its hotter in the middle of a dusty desert than, say, the green belt.

  Love this place better than the Boise Zoo. Where else can you pet kangaroos!!! And have close encounters with everything from ferrets and Bengal cats to primates and otters. The upgrades they make each season is a joy to see for the animals enrichment and large healthy habitats while also having a lot of interaction with onlookers. Never a dull time with all the animals asleep like the zoo usually is. Take the family, start early in am amd bring water. Worth the drive easily.

  This place is so fun! We live in Kuna but the drive out (about 45 minutes) was well worth it. The animals seem to be very well taken care of and look healthy. We got there about 9:15 AM on a Saturday and they were all very active and curious and it wasn't too crowded in the zoo. You get to pet kangaroos! Where else in Idaho can you pet kangaroos?? Prices were very fair. I was shocked to see they were NOT charging an arm and a leg for the food/drinks offered in the gift shop (seems like everywhere else does these days) so we bought some stuff for lunch and stayed longer than originally planned because of it! We bought two encounter add-ons: one with the otters (have to be 13 and older for this encounter, $50) and one with the Bengal cat (10 and older, $10). I can't wait to go back to try the primate encounter too! They have other encounters as well and you book them online. All the employees and volunteers were kind and kept the place clean.

  Babby Farms was great!! We had received a recommendation from a fellow homeschool mom and trusted it, we’re so glad we did! We all agree it was better than the zoo. Your ticket gets you access to pet the kangaroos and the petting zoo animals like goats, sheep, and llamas. You can buy a cup of animal feed and feed a lot of the animals. We all enjoyed it! It is mostly paved but your shoes may get a little dusty so I would wear shoes you don’t mind getting a little dusty, and also hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen during hot weather as there is a lot of time in the sun. We loved coming!! And great for all ages. We had ages 1-60 in our group.
