This place is gorgeous! We went as a school trip to take part in their volunteer day. The guys working with us, I can’t remember their names, were amazing. The kids’ conversations with them were a highlight to many. The valley itself is stunning. I especially enjoyed the hisbiscus path that showed the evolution of the flowers. If you are on O’ahu, this is a must visit!

It was beautiful! The walk to the waterfall was long, but worth it. Those who can't walk can ride the shuttle. They have life jackets to borrow for free to get into the water because the pool at the bottom of the waterfall is deep. The plants were amazing to see.

Perhaps my favorite place on earth? As a CHamoru girly I love to see pacific conservation and native plants from Guam that I wouldn’t see elsewhere. Highly recommend a waterfall dip on a hot day and volunteering to mālama ʻāina. Invasive species and harmful tourism practices are abundant on this island, but Waimea is a locally run nonprofit seeking to fight that.

A decent rainy-day alternative since the trails are paved, but the $26 admission per person is hard to swallow. The waterfall at the end is pretty, but the 'hike' is very short and feels more like a manicured park. Great if you want to swim, but if you’re just there for the views, it feels like a bit of a tourist trap.
