- MTMartin Kirmayr (Tharalon)5 days ago5.0Das Waimea Valley sollte auf jedem Besuchsplan von Hawaii-Touristen stehen. Ein wunderschöner Naturpark mit sehr abwechslungsreicher Botanik. Auch die Kultur der Ureinwohner kann man hier sehr hautnah erleben.
- BBBarry BladesAug 25, 20264.0Very nice place to visit. Nice little hike back to the waterfall. Then you can jump into the water,swim out to the waterfall. Looks like lifejackets are required. Everyone was wearing one. Free but you can leave a tip for their use. Changing area very close by. Very nice water conditions when we were there. Lots of birds for the birder's. Plenty of places to take a rest. Food available at the restaurant. Couple of restrooms along the paved trail. Historical and educational. Hope to do it again someday.
- RBRachel BarnardAug 21, 20264.0Waimea Valley was a nice, easy stop on our North Shore day. There is a small entrance fee, and from the visitor center it is about a 15 minute walk to the falls. The path is paved and only slightly uphill, so it is a pretty easy walk even if you are not looking to do a serious hike. There are bathrooms, food options, and souvenirs before you start your walk, which makes it a convenient place to spend a little time and rest before/after. At the falls, there is a small sitting area and you can rent equipment and life jackets. There are even two small changing booths if you want to get in the water. The swimming area looked pretty crowded when we visited, and getting down to the water requires carefully climbing over some rocks. I would definitely recommend wearing appropriate footwear if you plan to swim. Overall, it is an easy and scenic walk to a beautiful waterfall, but I would go in expecting the swimming area to be busy.

George led an interactive tour and should great knowledge while making it feel personal and special, answering all our questions and providing the level of respect and reverence the area deserves. The tour ended at the waterfall which was a near sacred experience. Made such a difference to be the first of the day in this beautiful spot. Will recommend this specific tour to anyone going to Oahu - worth the early wake up!
- JZJulia ZeyerAug 12, 20265.0Oh my goodness what a fun place! The gardens were beautiful and the waterfall was so much fun. We enjoyed the walk then the luau lunch began. My husband and I could not stop laughing we had such a great time. Definitely recommend. I was amazed that they also went above and beyond what was expected and even provided leas for newlyweds and those celebrating anniversaries. They even had a gift for those who were celebrating birthdays. Even dealing with food allergies they were quickly able to help those who needed those accommodations. Definitely recommend visiting Waimea Valley!
