I recently attended a show at City Winery Atlanta on 6/27/26 and was very disappointed with the overall experience. I traveled from out of state and paid good money for show tickets. The venue was extremely hot due to apparent AC issues. Portable AC units with tubing were being used, forcing air in a few directions, but they were not effective, making the environment very uncomfortable. There was no notice on the website or before the event advising attendees of the temperature issues or suggesting that guests prepare for warmer conditions. For a venue charging $80+ per ticket, I expected much better. Each table had an uncovered carafe of warm water, and ice was not readily available. After requesting ice and ordering a soft drink, it took nearly an hour for the ice to arrive, and it was brought in a small paper cup that wasn't even enough for the entire table. The hosts were walking around with damp towels on their necks trying to stay cool at an indoor concert venue!!! you can image how that looks as you walk with them to your seats. The bar area reeked of musty damp kitchen mat smell as you walked by it.. The artist was great, but the venue conditions and service have decreased and significantly impacted what should have been an enjoyable evening. I hope improvements are made for future guests. Unless changes are made, I will not be returning..

We attended the 10:00 PM show to see Rahsaan Patterson last night, and as always, he did not disappoint! He consistently delivers an incredible performance, and he and his band were absolutely phenomenal. Bravo to Rahsaan Patterson! Unfortunately, the venue did not match the quality of the performance. Our tickets stated that the doors would open at 9:00 PM, but when we arrived, we were told they wouldn't open until 9:30 PM. We had out-of-town guests with us who had never been to City Winery, and this immediately created a poor first impression. The biggest issue was that the air conditioning wasn't working. An entertainment venue should never be operating without functioning A/C, especially during a live concert. The venue was uncomfortably hot, and Rahsaan Patterson and his band were sweating profusely throughout the show. If the performers were that uncomfortable, I can only imagine how the audience felt. The service at the bar was also disappointing. My guests said their cocktails were watered down, poorly mixed, and missing the garnishes listed with the drinks. When they asked for the missing garnishes, the server brought them out on a toothpick in his hand instead of in a small dish or container. That level of service was unprofessional and unacceptable. It's disappointing that such talented artists continue to perform at a venue that appears to neglect basic maintenance and service standards. City Winery should invest in maintaining its facility and improving the overall guest experience. Rahsaan Patterson's outstanding performance was the only reason this evening was enjoyable.

Five stars for the drag performers, five stars for the very kind servers. The rest of the venue needs help. Today the air conditioning was broken (middle of summer, outside temps above 90, inside temps high 70s at best). The men's restroom had multiple toilets that were either clogged or completely out of service. There are definitely maintenance issues that they need to take care of. In past visits, I've found the breakfast food to be overpriced, over salted, and at questionable temperatures so I've started skipping it altogether. I want to keep coming, spending money here, and supporting local talent, but it is becoming harder and harder to justify.

I really hate to do this, but ..it's warranted. I've been a member for the past 3 years and in that time it has gone down. Most recent Mark Curry show, no AC. I mean HOT.(Sweat dripping, fanning with the menu}, I went to a previous show (Najee) were we stood outside, let in almost 45 min later.(like a club). The menu is just okay, it changes monthly now, not sure how to feel about the food.(price/taste/selections) Service is hit or miss. Staff is usually attentive and pleasant. It seems to have lost its spark. They used to leave a little welcome back card for members with a little tea light. Those little touches made it special. It has great potential, my suggestions, Keep some of the same staple menu items, don't change all of it. Offer your guests complimentary drinks/credits for any inconvenience.(AC not working 90 degree weather and so on. Give your guests their monies worth. I pray its figured out soon, As of now i am no longer interested.

It’s way too hot in there to have the tables cramped up like that and we are also drinking alcohol. It was so hot in there that the complimentary water at the table wasn’t cold anymore by showtime. Also, my waiter added his own tip last night. I knew it was an issue when he gave me the thumbs up and walked away without me signing for the payment. I locked my card immediately and sure enough he added the 10% option that added $8 to my ticket. I have no problem giving a tip but don’t put the tip on there for me. Tip is a courtesy and I honestly did not feel like tipping last night because I left early because the heat was making me sick and I couldn’t breath…I couldn’t even enjoy the last hour of Cocoa’s show or meet her in person. I’ve been going here for years and my experiences last Friday and last night was horrible because of the heat in there. It needs to be fixed before they show anymore events in there. We are in the summer humid days in Ga.
