Came here few times and every time is was great but tonight was horrible service by Andre. He ignored us completely but was over-the-top nice to girls-only parties. We had to ask for drinks 3 to 4 times until there were made and we had to wait for 30 min each time.

On July 25, 2026, my friend and I visited the Champagne Bar at The Surf Club and, unfortunately, left extremely disappointed with the service. Since there were no available seats at the bar, we were invited to sit at a table. A server (European appearance, with long straight light brown hair tied back in a ponytail) came to our table. When we asked for two glasses of champagne, she told us that champagne was only available by the bottle. We then asked, "In that case, could we order champagne by the glass from the bar and have it brought to our table?" She confidently replied that no, champagne by the glass was not available at the bar either. She then said, "Why don't you just buy a bottle? It's only $65." We asked her to show us the $65 bottle on the wine list, but she never did. Trusting the price she had quoted, we ordered it. However, when the bill arrived, we discovered that the bottle actually cost $100. Honestly, I was shocked by that comment. It is not up to a server to decide how much guests should spend. If we want to order one glass each, that is our choice. What made the situation even more surprising is that earlier this very month we celebrated a birthday at the same venue and were served champagne by the glass without any issue. That immediately made me question the accuracy of what we had just been told. I walked over to the bar myself and asked whether I could order a glass of Prosecco. The bartender immediately replied, "Yes, of course, no problem." In other words, the information we had been given at the table was simply incorrect. When I returned and told our server this, she silently walked away and never came back to our table. Another server took over our service. After this experience, my friend and I were left with a very unpleasant impression. It genuinely felt as though our order was not welcome and that we were being pushed toward buying a bottle instead of ordering two glasses. It is very disappointing to encounter this kind of treatment at a venue of this caliber. Luxury service means respecting a guest's choice, not making comments such as, "Just buy a bottle. It's only $65," while providing inaccurate information. I sincerely hope management reviews this incident, as this level of service does not reflect the reputation or standards of The Surf Club.

Amazing bar in Miami. A must visit between the cocktails, atmosphere, service and all around experience. Truly incredible coming in from NYC and our local friends took us here. It’s quiet, yet lively. You are not crammed in one spot. The service you would expect and the property is awesome. Highly recommend, Side note (not holding against the review). Just valet and pricing are not clear.

The cocktails were fantastic but the service was disengaged and cold. We were not greeted or welcomed upon arrival by the hostess, and the bartender ignored us when we sat down despite there only being one other patron. We felt uncomfortable and unsure if we were even able to order as walk-ins. As cocktail enthusiasts, we found it quite comical that the service was this poor at bar with 3 pins in the Pinnacle guide. Still enjoyed the stunning location!
