My first time at the Disney water park. And I actually enjoyed this place compared to Disney world. This is a complete 180 from any of the other parks I’ve been to at Disney. I will definitely be back

We visited Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park on April 27. The park itself is beautiful, and we were excited to spend the day there. The park was scheduled to operate from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We arrived around 11:00 AM, and at approximately 1:00 PM it started raining lightly. Shortly after, the park announced that it would be closing early due to rain and an alleged incoming storm. However, after checking the weather forecast on our phones and watching the local weather reports, there was no storm forecasted at all. It was not hurricane or storm season in Florida, and there was no indication of severe weather expected for the rest of the day. The park officially closed around 2:00 PM, but only about 10 minutes after the closure announcement, the rain completely stopped and the sun came out brightly. The weather remained clear afterward, yet the park still stayed closed. We were essentially forced to leave the park because of a very short period of rain. There was no actual storm. As paying guests, losing several hours of park access for no valid weather-related reason felt extremely unfair and very disappointing.

Been here so many times it’s laid back and enjoyable. This particular time I came with my 3 girls and my wife. And the 2 13 year olds decided to leave the lazy river at a different exit point then instructed and after an hour once my wife and were in full panic mode an employee approached us and said oh I believe you are looking for children and I asked why she would ask that (I’m naturally cautious) and she said well we have 3 children who said their mother was in a Michael Jackson shirt and I said thank god! But they were so kind, polite and great in identifying the children were lost and locating us!

It was so clean and had sufficient staffing. Rides were great for all ages and water temp was nice in late April. Complimentary towels and affordable lockers. Adult drinks were pricey. Food was good. This blew our experience at aquatica out of the water because everyone acted appropriately and there were enough staff to control any issues would they have arisen. The ski lift was a pretty smooth ride, which was also nice. The only small thing I would say was about the infamous pineapple dole whip. It was not at the warm hut as it said, and in fact, they didn’t have pineapple at all, and it was at the ice cream place and in very small print as it was an ingredient in a couple of options and in strawberry only. Since it’s so popular, a little clearer information on that would be nice because it’s a lot of walking ha ha to find some dole whip. Also, the lazy river is a lot of fun and we enjoyed the wave pool. I like that rapid slide as well. I feel like it’s great for many ages.
