The Museum of Sex in Miami is cheeky in the best way! It’s equal parts playful curiosity and knowledgeable. The exhibits are clever, interactive, and just naughty enough to keep things interesting without crossing into awkward. Super Funland definitely lives up to its name. Perfect for a date night, a giggle with friends, or anyone who appreciates a little culture with their kink. Highly recommend letting your curiosity lead the way!

Waste of time. There is a section about cults, which was interesting, but the rest was a campy attempt to be shocking. Boring.

Recently went for the Utopia exhibit. It checked all the boxes for me and surpassed expectation for a museum exhibit. Totally fascinating history and stunning curation of all of the historical art, press, and characters from each piece presented. Then the standard offering from the museum after the exhibit was unbelievably fun and hilarious for me and my wife and our friends. Highly recommend if you want something out of the ordinary museum experience!

The Museum of Sex Miami was portrayed as something far more engaging and educational than what was actually delivered, especially considering the price. As someone with a degree in human sexuality, I was expecting a thoughtful exploration of sex history, culture, and human behavior. Instead, much of the exhibit focused heavily on obscure sexual cults and fringe topics that didn’t feel especially relevant or informative in the broader context of sexuality studies.
The overall experience lacked personality and direction. Most of the exhibit consisted of wandering through dark rooms reading plaques with very little interaction or storytelling. I really think having guides or some sort of narrated structure would have helped connect the exhibits and make the experience feel more meaningful and cohesive.
The games and interactive elements were probably the strongest part of the experience, and it was obvious a lot of effort went into designing them. Unfortunately, the atmosphere overall still felt strangely empty and uninviting despite there being a steady flow of people coming through. The staff all appeared bored, low energy, and uninterested in being there, which definitely impacted the vibe.
Another disappointment was the drinks. Watching the “bartender” disappear behind a vinyl curtain to make cocktails felt odd and unprofessional. Honestly, if you’re considering paying extra for drinks, don’t bother.
I consider myself very open-minded, but this experience just felt confusing more than enlightening or educational. I left feeling more puzzled than informed. For the price, this was massively overpriced for dull staff, bad drinks, and what felt more like an introduction to joining fringe cults than an actual museum about sex history. Save your money and go enjoy a really good restaurant instead.
