We went to EPCOT on 5/7. Weather was hot, but that's hardly Disney's fault. The park was clean, and crowds are about what I'd describe as 'average' for a Disney park. The park itself is very nostalgic for me, I grew up going as a kid in the Horizons, Kitchen Kabaret, Wonders of Life era of EPCOT, when the focus was purely edutainment. The last time I went prior to 5/7, Cosmic Rewind was still Ellen's Energy Adventure and there was no chatter about it being changed. So, about around 2015. I don't think much has changed for the better. Ride operations were good, but it's wild how wait times soar in this park after barely opening. However, I could tell operations were on the ball that day because even though Test Track had a 70 minute posted wait at 9:30 AM, we actually only waited about 40, which is crazy. So either they're posting huge wait times to get crowds to go elsewhere, or ops are magicians capable of dark magic to get people through the queues at high speeds. World Showcase is as great as it always is. Shopping is fun, and checking out the countries will never not be fun. We had lunch at San Angel Inn Restaurante in the Mexico pavilion, and the food was delicious. Our waiter could've been a bit more attentive, but we understood the guy had a hundred other tables to handle, so we let it slide. Being inside and out of the heat was nice, and dang near half the reason I picked for us to have a reservation there. I love EPCOT, but it's propped up, at least for me, by its nostalgia. There's a few vestiges of old EPCOT there, like Living With The Land, but outside of World Showcase, which is more or less untouched, most of what made EPCOT enjoyable back in the day is, sadly, gone. Also, Disney, festivals used to be great reasons to go to EPCOT, but they stop being special when they run all year. Just saying. Negatives include the distinct lack of places to get water. You can go up to most quick service restaurants and ask for water, but it feels like you're being a nuisance. Those poor cast members have better things to do than wear down their shoes getting me water. Some places have self-serve soda fountains, and we utilized those wherever we could. Bottle fillers for filtered water were almost impossible to find, but the water was just one step above Florida swamp water, and not particularly cool. If Disney can learn anything from Universal, it's to have machines all around the park to get ice water from, because stumbling from place to place looking for water isn't fun. There's also almost no shade to be found in the parks. This has been an issue Disney has never addressed in the history of its parks, but the Florida sun and heat is unrelenting. The high that day was 95, but finding a place to get out of the sun and heat basically boiled down to going into attractions, but even that wasn't much of a respite, because the attractions had no real way to move air. I don't recall seeing a single fan. It's basically a broiler in most attractions' queues, because there's hundreds of people in there with you at all times. Yet another thing that needs addressing. Finally, Fast Track is incredibly rough. The ride was recently redone, but apparently, nothing was done about the vehicles, as they were jerky and would often start/stop in a similarly jerky motion to put inches between you and the vehicle in front of you. I expected a ride about futuristic vehicles to be much smoother, but I guess I shouldn't have expected much from what's essentially a slot car attraction. Bring back old Imagination with Dreamfinder, refurbish SSE like you need to, raze Mission Space and bring back Horizons' optimistic futurism. That is all.

I absolutely love EPCOT—it’s one of my favorite places to visit, and we go many times a year because it’s just so lovely every single time. There’s always something special happening with the festivals, and they truly make each visit feel unique. The food is great, with so many options to try from around the world, and the live music adds such a fun, vibrant energy throughout the park. I also love exploring the different pavilions—the culture, the shopping, and the little details make it such a beautiful and immersive experience. The rides are a perfect mix of fun and relaxing, and there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The Flower & Garden Festival, in particular, was absolutely stunning this year—so peaceful, beautifully designed, and honestly one of the most relaxing experiences I’ve had at a theme park. The only thing I wish is that they would add even more countries—it would be amazing to experience even more cultures and cuisines in one place! Greece, Ghana, India or Peru would be amazing to see! Or even expanding parts of Morocco to incorporate Egypt or Tunisia! EPCOT has such a special charm to it. It’s the perfect blend of entertainment, culture, and relaxation, and it never gets old. I truly can’t recommend it enough! 🌸✨

I absolutely love Disney World. I always have and always will. And Epcot has been one of my favorite of their theme parks. And normally, I would say that my most recent experience there was a 5 star. But unfortunately, something happened during my recent visit to Epcot last week, specifically on the evening of April 28th, 2026. Something that was and is still very upsetting and frightening for me. Because of this, I'm giving this 3 star rating. Especially since their customer service email reps have chosen to completely ignore my email about this incident. This happened during closing time at Epcot. My mother and I had been there all day and were staying at the Pop Century Resort. So when it was closing time, we made our way to the Sky Lifts, which take you directly to either the Pop Century Resort or the Art of Animation Resort. By the time we made it to the Skylift area, there was a long line of people waiting to get on the lifts. Because of the slow moving line and consistent delays of the Sky lifts, people started getting very impatient and angry while waiting in line, which I found upsetting. Especially since I am neurodivergent and very sensitive to high emotional situations. All the while, there were absolutely no Disney cast members nearby to monitor the long line or the guests in line in case of any problems. And unfortunately, a problem did occur for me and my mother. While waiting in line, a couple (man and woman) for whatever reason got impatient with us and decided to cut in line in front of us. Apparently to them, we weren't walking fast enough for them. My mother immediately got angry and called this woman out on her behavior. The woman responded by yelling at my mother, who yelled back in response. As the two of them yelled at each other, the woman's pathetic excuse for a boyfriend interjected himself, got in my mother's face aggressively and yelled at her to not yell at his girlfriend. This infuriated me, so I immediately went to my mother's defense, got between them, and yelled at this guy to stay away from my mother and not to touch her. He then very condescendingly said to me that he didn't touch her. Once I intervened during all of this, the woman finally backed down, grabbed back her boyfriend, and moved themselves back to their original place in line behind my mother and me. But this didn't stop this woman child (dressed like Minnie Mouse no less) from continuing her angry rants against us, trying to provoke us into fighting with her again. Neither my mother or myself responded back or even acknowledged her presence, which only infuriated her more. All the while, I'm looking around, trying to see if any cast members were nearby, but there weren't any. Because of this, my mother and I had to deal with this obnoxious, immature couple on our own. It scares me to think of what these people could've done to my mother and me. This situation could've easily turned physical, and there was absolutely no cast members around to put a stop to any of it. I take serious issue with this because no one should have to experience anything like this in Disney World of all places. I hate to think what these "people" would've done if my mother had been by herself. Or what they would've done if we had small children with us. These people clearly had no regard for anyone but themselves and didn't even care that they both made a horrible scene in front of other people with small children. I still get very angry and upset just thinking about this situation and it really makes me have serious doubts about ever going back to Disney World. I hope in the future, Disney World will do better about monitoring the lines during closing time. Because during those times, people are tired, cranky, impatient, and easily agitated. And as these people proved, this can easily bring out volatile, immature, and impulsive behavior driven by pure entitlement. I don't want anyone else to have to go through what my mother and I went through.

Ok so I visited Epcot today after 20 years and my experience was 50/50 . I think the flash pass needs to be non existent. Everyone should have to wait in line just as long as everyone else . We have to wait 2 hours on a ride (fast track) that is backed up due to flash pass and people were literally laying on the floor cause the lines were not moving horrible in my opinion just to make a few extra bucks for the park that’s already making over probably 5 million a day average . And while waiting 2 hours on line for fast track 9 people were cutting through on line and not 1 worker was there at any middle way points to discharge these people for cutting lines . Also no hand sanitizer pumps were anywhere in the park at all . Last thing I was unhappy with was no designated smoking areas . They should be some accommodation for smokers after spending 600 hundred dollars worth of tickets . But there were great things also every employee I encountered was so absolutely pleasant and happy and the park was absolutely beautiful and so much to see . Great food in a lot of the countries. The parking wasn’t bad at all with the walk to park entrance . Pretty decent day after 20 years . Sorry if I offended anything but wanted to share my experience after 20 years .

If you’re NOT a frequent visitor or annual passholder, and you’re planning a trip to EPCOT, do yourself a favor—start researching at least two months in advance! My husband and I first returned in 2021, thinking it would feel similar to when we brought our boys back in 1998… not even close. Technology has completely transformed the experience. Not in a bad way—but if you’re not prepared, it can be overwhelming and honestly a little frustrating. After that visit, I knew I needed a better game plan. This time, I booked early—about six months ahead—directly through Walt Disney World and bundled our hotel and park tickets, saving around $1,600. I also spent time watching YouTube vlogs to relearn the park layout and get Park tips, which made everything so much easier. NOTE: Disney is extremely app-driven. I highly recommend pre-purchasing a MagicBand. It acts as your room key, park ticket, Lightning Lane access, and even your credit card. Having everything on your wrist is incredibly convenient. Speaking of time-saving— we splurged and purchased the Lightning Lane Premier Pass. In 2021, we waited in lines up to two hours and barely got on rides. This time, with the Premier Pass, our waits were typically 5–20 minutes. As a Baby Boomer, I can confidently say—it was absolutely worth the splurge. BTW, there are single rider lines which are complimentary. Another small but "You'll Thank Me Later" tip: cushioned sneaker inserts. You can easily walk 8+ hours a day, and your tootsies will thank you. We visited the week before Easter during the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, and it was stunning. The flowers and topiaries were incredible, and the outdoor kitchens added a fun (and delicious) touch. Being able to simply tap my MagicBand to pay for food made everything seamless. Bottom line: taking the time to plan ahead completely changed our experience. We rode everything we wanted, avoided long lines, and truly enjoyed the park. If you’re heading to EPCOT—go in prepared, and you’ll have an amazing time.
