  Expedition Everest is the reason to come. The backwards section in the dark is better than anything else in this park and it has aged brilliantly. Kali River Rapids is genuinely fun too, but be warned, it does not sprinkle you, it soaks you through. Plan it for when you do not mind being wet for an hour. Flight of Passage is the famous one and I have mixed feelings. The queue is extraordinary, some of the best set building I have seen anywhere, and almost nobody looks at it because everyone is staring at their phone. The ride itself is a screen, very well executed, but a screen. The walk in is the real attraction. Kilimanjaro Safari is worth doing and the wait drops through the day. Mine was posted at 60 minutes in the afternoon and was 30 by the time I went back. Satu'li Canteen deserves its own paragraph. I ate two bowls and they were the best food I had in Orlando, nothing like normal theme park catering. Two practical notes. This is easily the shadiest park in Orlando, mature trees and covered paths everywhere, which makes a September day here much more survivable. And the restrooms on the Africa side were in poor condition when I visited. It does fill a full day, which surprised me. Go early, eat at Satu'li, ride Everest twice.

  Uma experiência simplesmente incrível! O Animal Kingdom foi um dos parques que mais nos surpreendeu na Disney. Desde a entrada, dá para perceber o cuidado em cada detalhe, com uma ambientação impecável, muita natureza e cenários que fazem você realmente se sentir em outro lugar. A área de Pandora é espetacular e, pessoalmente, ainda mais bonita do que nas fotos. As atrações são incríveis, principalmente Avatar Flight of Passage, que foi uma das melhores experiências da viagem. O Kilimanjaro Safaris também é imperdível e proporciona momentos únicos vendo os animais de perto. O parque é muito bem organizado, limpo e conta com funcionários extremamente atenciosos e simpáticos. Além das atrações, os shows, a gastronomia e toda a atmosfera tornam o passeio completo. É um parque para aproveitar com calma, observar cada detalhe e tirar muitas fotos. Sem dúvida, foi um dos dias mais especiais da nossa viagem para Orlando. Experiência excepcional e que vale muito a pena! 🦁🦒

  We really enjoyed our day at Animal Kingdom. The park itself is lovely, really well themed and, like all the Disney parks we’ve visited, immaculately clean. Avatar Flight of Passage was amazing! Definitely one of the best rides we’ve done at Disney and one I would happily go on again. The safari was another highlight. My partner absolutely loves giraffes, so she was in her element! We saw loads of animals and the guy driving and commentating on our safari was brilliant. Really friendly, funny and knowledgeable, and exactly the sort of interaction you hope for at Disney. We had Premier Lightning Lane again and it worked perfectly. No issues at all and we managed to do everything we wanted without spending half the day standing in queues. The park was fairly quiet when we visited, which probably helped, but it made such a difference. We actually managed to find somewhere to sit when we wanted to, which has strangely been one of our biggest frustrations at some of the other Disney parks. We also ate at Harambe Market and this was probably the best quick-service food we’ve had inside Disney so far. Really nice food, good portions and reasonably priced considering where you are. Staff generally seemed happier and friendlier here than we experienced at Magic Kingdom too. The only reason I can’t quite give Animal Kingdom 5 stars is the same feeling we’ve had throughout this Disney trip. The parks themselves are incredible, but some of that famous Disney magic seems to have disappeared. There were definitely exceptions here, especially our safari driver, but overall the warmth and friendliness we remember from Disney years ago just hasn’t been there consistently this time. That being said, we had a lovely day at Animal Kingdom. Great rides, a beautiful park, a fantastic safari and a much more relaxed atmosphere. Would we return? Yes.

  Five stars, and I'd hand over more if Google allowed it. Animal Kingdom is the most beautiful theme park we have ever set foot in, and after a full day there we walked out already planning our next trip back. Start with the Tree of Life. Photos do not prepare you for it. Standing at the base in the early morning light, watching the sun catch all those hand-carved animals in the trunk and root system, is worth the price of admission by itself. We circled it three separate times during the day and kept finding creatures we had missed. Kilimanjaro Safaris was the highlight of the morning. Go early. We had giraffes strolling close enough to the vehicle that everyone gasped, plus rhinos, elephants, zebras, hippos and a lioness sprawled out on her rock like she owned the place. It is a real safari, not a ride with animatronics, and no two trips are the same. We caught giraffes browsing through the palms again later in the day, which felt like a bonus round. The bird show, Feathered Friends in Flight, absolutely stole our hearts. We went in expecting a way to sit down in the shade and came out telling everyone we met that they had to see it. Macaws, owls, hornbills and raptors flying inches over the audience, with trainers who clearly adore these birds and teach you something real about conservation while you laugh. Do not skip it thinking it is just a kids' show. Pandora is a world unto itself. Avatar Flight of Passage is the single best ride we have ever experienced at any park anywhere, full stop. You genuinely feel like you are flying on the back of a banshee, and we rode it twice because we could not help ourselves. Na'vi River Journey is the calmer sibling, a gorgeous, glowing float through a bioluminescent forest, and that Shaman of Songs animatronic at the end is a jaw-dropper. Stay in Pandora until dark. The whole land lights up and it is unreal. The food here quietly beats every other park. Satu'li Canteen in Pandora is the best quick service we have ever eaten at Disney. The build-your-own bowls are fresh, generous and actually interesting. The chargrilled beef over the rice and black bean mix with chimichurri and slaw was outstanding, and the little boba-style flavor pearls on top are a fun touch. Real food, real vegetables, huge portions, and it did not wreck our budget. We ate there twice. A few practical notes. Arrive at rope drop and head straight to Flight of Passage or the safari. Bring a refillable water bottle because Florida heat is no joke. The Maharajah Jungle Trek and Gorilla Falls Trail are gorgeous, shaded and worth slowing down for. And give yourself more time than you think you need. This park rewards wandering. Thoughtful, immersive, gorgeously landscaped and genuinely great food. We loved every minute.

  Animal Kingdom Review (Starting Point of Our 3‑Park Day 1/3) We started our day at Animal Kingdom, and it was the perfect warm‑up before heading to Hollywood Studios and finishing the night at Magic Kingdom. Animal Kingdom opens it doors at 7:00 am, is a beautiful mix of nature and adventure, calmer than the other parks but still packed with must‑do attractions. Must‑Ride Attractions The absolute essentials are Pandora: The World of Avatar, Expedition Everest, and Kali River Rapids. Pandora is breathtaking, the atmosphere, the floating mountains, and Flight of Passage are unreal. Expedition Everest is fast and fun, one of the best coasters in all of Disney. Kali River Rapids is perfect for cooling off; you will get soaked, so plan ahead. Most of the entertainment here is either live shows with specific showtimes or movie/3D animation experiences. The live shows are great, but you do need to plan around their schedules. Everything else is easy to fit between rides. Animal Kingdom is busy, but not as overwhelming as Magic Kingdom. Pandora usually has the longest lines, while Everest and Kali move faster depending on the time of day. Animal Kingdom is a great start to a multi‑park day. It gives you thrills, immersive worlds, and calmer areas to recharge before heading into the chaos of Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom. If you’re planning your route, start with Pandora, then Everest, then Kali, and fill the rest with shows and walk‑through attractions.
