Overall, we had a fun experience, but for $100+ per person, I don’t think it was worth the price. Finding the station was easy thanks to the directions they emailed us, and parking was free with plenty of spaces. Check-in and boarding were quick, the staff was friendly, and everything ran on schedule. The train itself was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Our server was wonderful, kept our drinks filled, and even made my sister’s birthday feel special by bringing out her cake with a candle while everyone sang Happy Birthday. The five-course meal tasted good, arrived hot, and the portions were generous. However, this is where my biggest concern comes in: 3 out of the 4 people in our group became sick just a few hours after dinner. My fiancé was vomiting, my brother and I were both stuck in the bathroom, and that unfortunately overshadowed the entire experience. Food safety should be a top priority, especially at this price point. Also, the website said soft drinks were included, but onboard everything except water and unsweetened tea cost extra. The prime rib was also advertised with au jus but came with brown gravy instead. The actors were funny, energetic, and stayed in character during the show. The nun was hilarious! While the comedy was great, the mystery itself was disappointing. There weren’t enough clues for guests to realistically solve it, and the killer’s motive wasn’t explained until after everyone had already voted, leaving our entire table confused. It was an opportunity kill and the motive was just a woman being mad over a situation we never knew occurred. Not very fitting for the character given the information we had. The ride was also much rougher than expected. If you’re prone to motion sickness, I’d definitely recommend taking medication beforehand. The scenery was mostly industrial, with the best views being the water while crossing the two bridges. I’m glad we experienced it once because it was a unique evening and we still had fun, but between the food safety issue and the overall value, I don’t think we’d return.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary on this dinner train, and it turned out to be such a unique experience. Each table seats four people, so we were paired with two strangers. Fortunately, they were both very friendly, and we had a wonderful time chatting throughout the evening. The food was decent, and everyone enjoyed trying to figure out who the real murderer was during the murder mystery show. The scenery along the route wasn’t particularly impressive, but the entire experience lasted almost three hours and was truly something different. Overall, it was a fun and memorable way to celebrate our anniversary.
