  This is for mini golf only. We should have known by seeing an empty parking lot at 7:00 on a Friday night, but we decided to go try it out since we had the place to ourselves. That was a mistake! This place is a joke. No maintenance has been done in a long time. Turf is coming up on several holes, balls getting stuck in pipes, massive weeds growing everywhere!! Only one of the water features was running and the water was nasty and algae growing in the water. The owners should be embarrassed. They need to SHUT IT DOWN. It felt like we were playing an abandoned mini golf course. I would never recommend it. If they continue to keep it open they should charge like $5 max. I read other reviews after we played and everyone is right. The company responds but obviously doesn’t care enough to do anything about it.

  My wife, our three kids, and I had an amazing time at Big Kahuna's! We traveled from Louisiana to Destin for the Fourth of July weekend to enjoy the beach and waterpark, and it was a memorable family trip. We rented a large cabana back in April in anticipation of meeting up with other family members. When we arrived, we discovered that the cabana we had reserved had been given to the DJ without any prior notification. My wife, who is a content creator, was understandably disappointed and asked to speak with management. I'm happy to say management handled the situation professionally and quickly resolved the issue by giving us our reserved cabana. We really appreciated how they made things right. I also want to give a special shoutout to our server, Alex. She was outstanding professional, attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the day. She truly deserves recognition, whether that's a raise or a promotion. She was one of the highlights of our visit. Overall, I'd rate the waterpark 7/10, but the customer service was an easy 10/10. Despite the issue at the beginning, my family had an absolute blast, and we made some great memories together.

  4/5 overall. Big Kahuna’s in Destin was a really fun time and definitely worth visiting, especially if you’re looking for something affordable and family-friendly to do in the area. We had a great day overall, and for the price, it’s hard to complain too much. There are plenty of slides and attractions to keep everyone entertained, and it’s a good spot to spend several hours cooling off and having fun. That being said, I do think there are a few safety issues that need attention. While walking around the wooden docks and stairs, I noticed several nails sticking up from the boards. I ended up cutting my foot more than once, and if it happened to me, I’m sure it has happened to other people too. This was especially noticeable on the wooden stairs when carrying tubes up the hill, where you’re already focused on holding the tube and watching your step. Those areas really need to be checked and repaired because loose or raised nails around barefoot guests can turn into a bigger problem quickly. There was also one area where a ride or boat structure hangs over the walkway. I’m tall, and I almost hit my head on it because it wasn’t clearly marked. It’s a dark piece of wood over the walkway and doesn’t feel very high, so if someone is simply walking and having a conversation, it would be easy to miss. A warning sign, padding, bright paint, or some kind of marking would make a big difference there. Other than those safety concerns, we genuinely had a great time. The park was fun, the price was reasonable, and it’s a solid place to go for a day of cheap fun in Destin. I would still recommend it, but I really hope management takes a closer look at the walking areas, stairs, and overhead hazards so guests can enjoy the park without worrying about getting hurt.

  We visited Big Kahuna’s on the Fourth of July and honestly didn’t have high expectations. We mainly wanted something fun to do since the jellyfish kept us out of the Gulf. It ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. We reserved a premium cabana, and for a family of five I can’t recommend it enough. We were behind the kids’ wave pool, which turned out to be the perfect location. It made it easy to jump in the lazy river whenever we wanted to cool off while still having a comfortable place to relax. I actually wanted to give it four stars because the cabana service wasn’t the best, but my boys wouldn’t let me. They had such a great time that they insisted it deserved five stars. The park layout is excellent, the lines were surprisingly short, and there was a great variety of slides and attractions for all three of my boys, even though they’re different ages. I figured we’d spend a few hours there just to pass the time, but we ended up staying from open until close. The food was expensive and nothing special, but that’s pretty much what I expected from a water park, so it didn’t take away from the experience. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Destin. If you’re visiting with kids, don’t overlook the premium cabanas. They made a great day even better.

  Disappointing Experience for Special Needs Families – Not Wheelchair Friendly We visited today looking for a local summer escape, but the park fell incredibly short on accessibility and fairness. Unfair Pricing: My extremely disabled son could only use the kiddy pool, and as his full-time caregiver, I could not leave his side to use any attractions myself. Yet, we were both forced to pay full admission. Many parks in Orlando offer spectator or disability discounts; local parks should do the same. Poor Accessibility: The park is simply not wheelchair-friendly. I didn't see any adaptive equipment or easy-access transitions. Logistical Friction: Charging $20 for handicap parking feels excessive. To make matters worse, the downstairs food area was missing basic cutlery and condiments, forcing me to leave my son to go upstairs just to get forks and ketchup. The only saving grace was that my 17-year-old managed to enjoy himself, but the lack of inclusivity and basic customer service means we won't be rushing back. Management seriously needs to reconsider their caregiver pricing policies and ADA layout.
