  PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU GO KEEPING TIGER FOR PROFIT My recent visit to the Downtown Aquarium in Denver was deeply concerning, and I will definitely never return. The main issue is the living conditions of the tiger. This animal is kept indoors 100% of the time with zero access to a real outdoor environment. Skylights, painted walls, and fake plastic rocks are not a substitute for nature. The only "fresh air" it gets is whatever is blown in by fans, surrounded by the humid indoor aquarium climate. It is heartbreaking to see a majestic wild animal kept indoors purely for human entertainment and profit. To make matters worse, the parrot directly across from the tiger exhibit was visibly distressed—screaming continuously and staring at the tiger in clear fear. Anyone who cares about animal welfare can see this isn't right. Keeping a apex predator confined indoors just to pull in ticket sales is unacceptable. I cannot support a facility that prioritizes profit over the basic physical and psychological needs of its animals.

  Everything was very well put together and fun to see. They had periodic mermaid shows that where honestly very impressive and my 2 year old niece loved them. The lack of informational sings bugged me quite a bit though. And half the ones they did have would be in Spanish half the time. I understand trying to accommodate, but it seemed like every time I wanted to read about something it would be in Spanish and I would have to wait 1-3 minutes for it to switch to English. We are in America please have signs in English. Just make a little Spanish one off to a side and let the main ones be English.

  Went in for a visit and to get a membership if my granddaughter enjoyed the aquarium. Was told when purchasing ticket to stop back at end of visit to upgrade for membership. When stopped back, ticket office was busy and no one was available to do the membership. Was told by the employee at the ticket office to CALL in by end of day to upgrade to membership. Called in and was told by other employees that couldn’t do membership over the phone and only option was to drive back down to the aquarium that day. Won’t be going back. Lots of better ways to spend money.

  The Denver Aquarium is absolutely worth visiting. There’s an incredible variety of fish and other aquatic life, the exhibits are beautifully maintained, and I left with amazing memories. The highlight for me was feeding the stingrays! I’ve been to other aquariums where you could touch them, but I’d never had the chance to feed them. I was squealing with excitement. It’s an experience I’ll remember for the rest of my life! My only criticism is that the staff member supervising the stingrays wasn’t very friendly. I understand the need to enforce safety rules, but she could have been more pleasant.

  Many tanks are actually quite small and the aquarium as a whole is not that large. Even taking your time, it doesn't take very long to make your way through all the exhibits. I had the misfortune of coming during a Home School day and there were hoards of screaming children everywhere ready to push anyone and anything out of their way. I felt the stingray touch pool was not very cleanly. They have an area to rinse your hands but no soap for before or after your interaction. The tiger exhibit looks very small and not entirely ethical. Visiting the zoo is a better experience and for a much better value. You can also touch stingrays there and they offer actual soap. They have plenty of fish and other animals to look at. And there is a fee for parking, which seems so ridiculous. It's outdoor and across the street from the aquarium, which means it can be a bit of a walk. There are multiple signs throughout the building about additional fees for more "special" experiences- a disappointing money grab.
