  Best popcorn ever!! When you say extra butter they really deliver. Spent time in theater 1..seats are comfy rows are wide, sound and screen on point.

  We hosted a private screening event for our company at UltraStar Mission Valley and had the BEST time! We are so grateful for Julie, the general manager AJ and the entire team for being such great hosts to us and our guests. They made the process so smooth and seamless, and were so accommodating to decor and things that we wanted to have within the space. As far as the concessions, they had a good variety of both food and drinks, and we love the old school cinema feel of the theater. We will definitely be returning for more events in the future! Thank you to the entire team!

  UltraStar Cinemas ROCKS! We LOVED hosting our Girl Scout San Diego screening of the new Cookie Queens movie there this past weekend. Julie was SO easy to work with, the staff day of was lovely and so accommodating, and we just had a blast with our Girl Scout takeover! Thank you UltraStar team! :)

  We normally love coming here on Thursdays for the half price film. However, today we showed up for Spider-Man and we're told that it doesn't have a half price today. I checked the website and I see nothing mentioning it. For a family of four and at $15 a ticket, it's $60 to see a movie before snacks, drinks, and popcorn. It would have been nice if they had some kind of special mention on the website before we showed up and wasted our time. :/ - My mistake for not seeing the Special Engagement message. Thank you for your response.

  Been a customer at this location for a long time living in SD. My wife and I were just there to see the new SpiderMan movie and the theater had great attendance which is great to see. When we left the movie and were sitting at the table seating area my wife noticed something moving on me on the front left of my shirt and it was a single live maggot. I flicked it off myself and checked everything else around me and could find nothing else. We had thrown away our popcorn and drink. We had a junior mints candy box and I inspected that and nothing there. I had held the popcorn bag against that part of my shirt when I first entered the movie. I also requested extra buffer with the popcorn. Im a pretty clean person I checked my car and when at home looked around and didnt find any other evidence of maggots. I really don't want to blame the theatre but would ask others to check their popcorn and bags carefully. And have the theater self review itself and inspect for maggots around the popcorn machine and bagging. I received a large waxed paper bag for the popcorn not a tub. I purchased the $24.95 combo of large popcorn soda and a candy. The theater was hotter than it should have been. Probably due to the great attendance at the movie. This theater is usually not busy which is why we go here. The management responded very kindly to check everything. I researched it more online and the most likely thing was it was a pantry worm I mistook as a maggot. It was honestly thicker in body than the maggots I have seen. So I think it was a pantry larva it was a worm that is common to theatres. Whew! Thank you ultra star management for being so nice and respectful! Keep those theatres ice cold though please! Better Cold than hot thats what the people are paying for!
