- WCWilliam Creen3 days ago4.0One of the best cheap movie days here on Thursdays. The staff here are chill so do the same. The seats are older with no leg rest but for the price if admission, it's worth it.

Since the first email to Julie Bravo for information, booking, coordination and the day of the event everyone was so helpful. I am a long time customer of theirs because their comfortable seats, their happy hour, and their popcorn card! Thank you everyone at UltraStar!
- VBVicky BSBMay 4, 20265.0This is one of our favorite theaters in San Diego. Smaller, more intimate and is like a mom-and-pop theater we love supporting. The staff are always very sweet, friendly and patient. I also appreciate how their management supports local schools with fundraising, so it makes me want to support this theater as well. They also take part in many film festivals. Highly recommend, and I wish them much success.
- NDNatalie DarnellMay 2, 20261.0I had a horrible experience with this movie theatre. I payed $33 for two tickets and did not receive the tickets via email or text. The $33 was taken out of my account. I called and was put on hold for 10 minutes. Finally when the manager Al talked to me he was extremely condescending and rude. He told me “ this is how buying things works” and “this is why I should have bought the tickets in person”. I never received the tickets, missed out on the movie and never received money back from them until I disputed it with my bank. So disappointing and upsetting. Find a different theatre.
- ADAlexis DeFeliceApr 16, 20265.0I reached out to UltraStar about possibly doing a sensory friendly screening of the new Super Mario movie opening weekend and Julie was incredibly responsive!! I was able to take my Mario super fan to the movie theatre for the first time and he got to enjoy his experience! UltraStar was super accommodating and I even had other theatre goers talking about how great it was to be able to enjoy their first family movie theater experience thanks to the sensory friendly showing. The seats in the theatre we were in were super comfy and large! They had booster seats available for shorter kiddos. This will definitely be our movie theater of choice!
