Had such a great time at Levity Live Oxnard! Our team went to see comedian Armanii and the entire experience was amazing from start to finish. The service was top tier, the food was great, and the drinks were even better 🍹😂 The atmosphere here makes it the perfect spot for a date night, group outing, or just a fun night out with friends. Definitely one of the best entertainment spots in the area and I’d 100% recommend checking it out if you’re in Ventura County!

Great venue but they need to take some lessons from the comedy clubs when it comes to seating and starting on time. Sat everyone an hour late because the headliner was doing a meet and greet out front. That’s fine and it wasn’t her fault but the club should have sat everyone and had the openers come out during her signing. EDIT: You’ll see the club’s response below. They do clean the club between shows however this was done much sooner than they are suggesting and the crowd had to wait an extra hour to be sat. The headliner themselves called the club management out on stage as to why they chose to do this and it wasn’t explained to anyone including the talent. Is this the old create hype with a crowd or is it just someone didn’t have the forethought as to the problem this creates? Regardless, make the showtime an hour later and don’t blame your cleaning staff or the talent. That’s just a cop out.

Nice place to see a comedy show. You have to buy 2 items ( food or drink) with each ticket. Food is actually decent, so not a big deal. Best seats with general admission are the "bar" seats. Sit there if you can..

We’ve been to Levity Live several times over the years and usually have a great experience, which is why this was disappointing. Our group of 5 ordered a $64 bottle of wine shortly after being reminded about the 2-item minimum. During that conversation, the server even asked if we wanted glasses for everyone, so we reasonably assumed the bottle would count toward multiple drink minimums based on the menu pricing ($16/glass or $64/bottle). With about 20 minutes left in the show, during a major audience interaction moment, we were suddenly told we still needed 9 more items to meet the minimum because the bottle only counted as one item. Had that been explained upfront when we ordered, we simply would have ordered differently and avoided the issue entirely. What made it frustrating wasn’t the policy itself — it was the timing and handling. Being pulled into a dispute in the middle of the show really took away from the experience. What crossed the line for me was when we politely asked to speak with a manager and the server responded by scoffing and telling us we had been “rude all night.” We had not raised our voices, insulted anyone, or caused a scene. In all my years dining out, I honestly can’t remember a server speaking to customers that way simply for asking for a manager to clarify a billing dispute. To the manager’s credit, after a little back and forth she eventually agreed to count the bottle as 4 drinks and we ordered additional items to finish things out, but by that point the experience had already been disrupted. The frustrating part is that this entire situation was completely avoidable. If the club has a policy that bottles only count as one item toward the minimum, that should be clearly communicated at the time of ordering — especially when the minimum was already being discussed beforehand. Instead, the issue was brought up near the end of the show in a way that interrupted the experience and created unnecessary tension. Good hospitality is about setting clear expectations upfront, not surprising customers halfway through the night.

Do not eat here if watching a show. Eat elsewhere then go to the show. Maybe just drinks for the order minimum. The less you deal with staff the better your experience will be. Just going to state facts. Came for the bingo loco, came early and my party was seated no problem. My whole party ordered at the same time. Everyone’s food and drinks came except for my food. Everyone finished their food and mine still hadn’t arrived. So had to ask another server since mine had not checked on me. The excuse I was told was that my food came from a different place and they were behind. I ordered plain nachos w/o meat, while my party ordered burgers and fries. And the people that were sitting behind us were seated AFTER us and got nachos before I got mine. We asked for the manager. That was a mistake. Tracy is a bully. The server desperately wanted to handle it without a manager and now I know why. She came up to me while the party was going on, and I was having a great time. Instead of pulling me aside so we could have a conversation, we were basically yelling at each other. Sorry excuse for the manager. No customer service skills. I cut her off because she was saying I ate most of my plate, I did not. lost my appetite and the nachos were cold. Ate maybe ¼ of the plate. Well cutting her off really upset her and she said,” I let you speak, now it’s my turn” or something to that effect. I asked my friend to listen in as a witness bc I was not digging Tracys attitude. Then my friend chimed in, and again with attitude told my friend that she would only address me bc I was the one with the issue. She came back and offered me a 10% discount on my food to which I replied I wasn’t happy but whatever. My server came back shortly after with our bill and Tracy standing directly behind us practically stayed the entire time until we paid. As if we were not going to pay. Bully. I still enjoyed my night bc bingo loco was amazing, but whoever is keeping Tracy there without training, it’s going to hurt your business in the long run. I’ve been in customer service and business owner/manager for the last 20 years and would never handle client discrepancies in this manner. Edit: Thank you for responding. I am sure you want the best for the business and I spoke to Sakeena who said she already talked to you. My point to even interact with the manager was to let them know about the food service. Tracey’s response made me want to warn the upper management. I wouldn’t want anyone else to feel bullied or not want to return. I hope there is training coming her way. If I attend a future event at Levity, I will know to do it a little differently. Thank you again, Jay
