The Harry Potter show itself was actually very good—the graphics and immersion were impressive. Unfortunately, the establishment’s horrific customer service completely ruined what should have been a magical night. For a total package that cost us nearly $300, the level of incompetence here is genuinely shocking. Our issues started right at the entrance. The ticket scanner checked us in but failed to give us a physical "food ticket"—a mysterious voucher we didn’t even know we needed until later. We paid a premium for the "Enchanted Meal" package ($40 per person online), yet because the front door staff can't figure out how to hand out a ticket, we were penalized. The service inside was an absolute joke: The Seating Staff: The woman helping us find our seats gave us some serious attitude right off the bat. The Waitstaff: They had absolutely no idea what they were doing. Our waiter brought us other people’s food four different times, and to top it all off, handed us someone else's bill at the end of the show. The "Solution": When we explained that we hadn't received our food tickets at the door, the staff member on the third floor told us we had to trudge all the way down to the first floor to sort it out. It is not the customer's job to fix your staff's entry-point mistakes while trying to enjoy a show. To make matters worse, they were completely out of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans and Chocolate Frogs—items that are a quintessential part of the experience. After looking at past reviews, I noticed people complaining about the exact same inventory shortage and terrible service over a month ago. Management has clearly had plenty of time to correct these issues and simply chooses not to. Save your money. Until the Cosm Theatre trains its staff and fixes its operations, this "experience" is an overpriced headache

We brought our four grandkids to see Harry Potter. First, the website states parking is in a structure. To accommodate everyone, we took two cars instead of my bigger truck that usually doesn’t fit in structures. Upon arrival, found out it was an outdoor parking lot. The lot we used was next to Raisin Canes restaurant. Better safe than sorry I guess. Second, sporting events take priority over Harry Potter. Our show was pushed back about 30-40 minutes due to a college world series game. Third, we were all thirsty when we got there. There were no vending machines only bars. Only one of the bars was staffed on the first floor. The line was long but eventually was able to buy waters for the family. Fourth, the screen is very impressive. We got first floor table seating which had moveable, swivel chairs. On the first floor, you will have to crane your neck to see everything as the screen is very tall and wraps around the ceiling. I would recommend second floor seating. Fifth, website said you could order Harry Potter themed meal at the venue instead of preordering. They could not accommodate us on our visit saying they didn’t have enough. The venue has other food which we opted for and was about the same price as the themed food. The smash burgers, poke bowls and fries were excellent. Servers were attentive and friendly. Overall, good experience and the kids loved it. The first floor, close screen seating didn’t bother them!

No volvería a ir.

The movie experience itself is awesome and really cool, a great way to relive Harry Potter. That part alone makes it worth it. Everything else around it kind of sucked though. You can't buy butterbeer unless you purchase a $40 per person meal package online, even though it's advertised as something available to buy in person on all the menus. My wife is pregnant and can only eat small meals (bigger portions make her nauseous), but there were no small options on the menu and they wouldn't let us order off the kids' menu either. So she ended up with no butterbeer and no food. The chairs aren't very comfortable either, especially if you're shorter. It's a long sit and your lower back will feel it. If you can get past the food restrictions, pricing, and seating, the movie part is genuinely great.

I walked into Cosm Los Angeles thinking it would be another high-tech attraction. Los Angeles is full of places that promise to be “the future” and end up being an expensive screen with fancy marketing. Cosm was the first place in a long time that genuinely surprised me. The strange thing is that after a few minutes, you stop paying attention to the technology itself. Your brain simply accepts what it’s seeing. At one moment I caught myself leaning forward as if I were actually there instead of sitting comfortably in a chair. It felt less like watching content and more like borrowing someone else’s eyes. The crowd around me had the same reaction. People weren’t scrolling through their phones. They were pointing, laughing, looking around, and trying to figure out how what they were seeing could possibly look so real. In Los Angeles, where everyone is difficult to impress, that’s saying something. I also appreciated that Cosm doesn’t try to copy a movie theater, a stadium, or a theme park. It created its own category somewhere in between. It’s one of those rare places where the experience itself becomes the attraction. When I left, I realized something funny: I couldn’t really explain Cosm to my friends. Every description sounded smaller than the actual experience. “It’s a giant screen” doesn’t work. “It’s immersive” doesn’t work either. The closest thing I can say is that it feels like stepping into a preview of entertainment ten years from now. Los Angeles usually rewards places that are loud and flashy. Cosm impressed me for a different reason—it made me forget where I was for a while. And in a city that constantly competes for your attention, that might be the most impressive achievement of all.
