Second time here and second BIG MISS! The host seemed a little scattered but checked us in after a few minutes and asked if he could seat us outside, the weather was cooling down so we said okay even though this is where the trouble started on our last visit but to be fair they had construction going on at that time but we left after being neglected the same way we did this visit. We waited about 10 minutes for the waiter and some water. We had asked about some food options as well but when I asked about the Prime Rib he said it was very good but came with no sides and was the only dish that was like that. I mean for $50 throw me some fries or rice LOL. So we ordered drinks and he was gone another 10 or more minutes (we ordered two soft drinks) wherein we decided we were not going to wait longer and let this get any worse. I also scanned other reviews during our wait and could see similar experiences. We spend a-lot of money with Disney on Magic Keys, food, souvenirs, etc. and this will be the last time we attempt to visit this restaurant. Something is just not right and the 4.0 rating is telling for a Disney run establishment in one of it’s flagship properties we expect better and they can do better. On a positive note Paseo in Downtown Disney is fantastic and we have never had a bad meal there!
The food and service was excellent! We had the French onion soup, rotisserie chicken, Mac and cheese, and chocolate cake
I have dined here 3 times just this month alone and nothing is short of exceptional.
Bryan the server ( he's the one with cool voice ) is always giving incredible service and makes the dining experience feel elevated.
Amazing lighting and ambiance.
Best so far are french onion soup, chacuterie board and parmasean sandwich - you will be truly, truly surprised

Hearthstone Lounge is one of Disney's hidden gems. If you appreciate a perfectly crafted Old Fashioned or Manhattan, this is the place to visit. The complimentary warm, fresh almonds are a wonderful touch that makes the experience even more memorable.
Don't miss the Espresso Martini, expertly crafted with the unique Flor de Caña Espresso Coffee Liqueur, a delicious blend of premium rum and rich espresso and topped with a silky sea salt foam that perfectly balances the sweetness with a subtle savory finish. It's one of the smoothest, most memorable Espresso Martinis I've ever had. Muy bueno amigos.
The highlight of the evening was discovering the Beverly Orange Cask Whiskey, a truly unique pour with a fascinating Disney connection. You can tell there's real passion behind what makes it onto the menu. This is special whiskey from Iowa. Lots of love and yummy.
A huge thank you to Mauricio and Steffy. Mauricio is hands down one of the best bartenders in the West. His knowledge, hospitality, and attention to detail are second to none. Mauricio and Steffy helped champion getting this special Iowa whiskey onto the menu, and thankfully it earned its place on the shelf. Their enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication make Hearthstone Lounge a destination worth returning to.
Yes, the prices are on the higher end, but you're paying for much more than a cocktail. You're paying for a first-class experience, a place to relax, unwind, catch up with friends, share stories, laugh, and simply enjoy the moment. The exceptional service, handcrafted drinks, and inviting atmosphere make every dollar well spent.
If you're visiting Disney's Grand Californian, make time for Hearthstone Lounge. Outstanding drinks, exceptional service, and an unforgettable experience. We'll definitely be back!

My family loves eating at Hearthstone Lounge. We have eaten here about five or six times, and each time we have been very pleased. My wife and I both enjoy their New York steak. It is a little pricey but we believe that it has been worth it every time. We also have enjoyed their seabass and my son likes their Kids hamburger. The kids hamburger is a little on the small side, but is delicious.
The Hearthstone lounge also has a huge selection of adult drinks and specializes in whiskeys. On our most recent visit my wife ordered a drink called the Golden Rush Hour. It was very good. If it had only been the two of us, we would have ordered two each.
The service is great and they take care of you, but this is not a quick place to eat. It is a lounge for a reason and takes a little bit longer than other restaurants on the Disney property. I don’t see that as a problem. Try to make reservations if you want to try it, the restaurant is not very large and can have a pretty decent wait time.
We will be going back.
