  I was incredibly disappointed with our experience. We traveled all the way from Alaska to visit Disney California Adventure, and my son’s number-one wish was to see Lightning McQueen. Unfortunately, we were cut off at the end of the line twice due to the heat advisory. I completely understand that Disney has to prioritize the safety of Cast Members and characters during extreme heat. What was frustrating was that we were never given a clear estimate of when Lightning McQueen would return, despite asking, and we were encouraged to try again later. We repeatedly returned throughout the day hoping to catch him. By the evening, when temperatures had cooled considerably, we were told that Lightning McQueen had been put away for the night, even though the character appearances are typically listed later into the evening. I understand that character appearances cannot always be guaranteed, but after being turned away twice because of circumstances outside our control, I wish there had been better communication or some effort to help families who had already been waiting know when to return. We planned a significant part of our day around trying to fulfill this one wish for my son, and it was heartbreaking to leave without ever getting the opportunity to see him.

  Cars Land is easily one of the most immersive areas at Disney California Adventure. From the moment you walk in, it really feels like you’ve stepped straight into Radiator Springs. The attention to detail is incredible, especially along Route 66 and around the rock formations. Radiator Springs Racers is definitely the highlight and one of the best rides in the park. The entire land is especially impressive at night when all of the neon signs light up, it completely changes the atmosphere and is absolutely worth seeing! There is plenty of places to grab food, take photos, and just walk around and enjoy the theme. Even if you aren’t a huge Cars fan, it’s hard not to appreciate how much detail Disney put into this area. Definitely one of my favorite parts of California Adventure.

  It was a good ride with Pablo and Iracema because we love it! I hope come back to Disneyland again when I grow up! /)

  This place was definitely the highlight of Disneyland for me. I grew up loving Cars, and then my niece and nephew loved it too, so I have a bit of a personal bias. I remember rewatching the movie with them so many times, lol. But even aside from that, I genuinely loved Cars Land. Radiator Springs Racers is easily one of my favorite rides in Disneyland. We also tried Flo’s V8 Cafe, and I was honestly surprised by how good the chicken was. It was juicy, flavorful, and probably one of the best meals I’ve had at a Disney park. We came back again at night, and I’m really glad we did. Cars Land looks completely different when all the lights are on. We got some great photos and videos, and seeing the whole place lit up made it even more fun to walk around. Definitely one of those places I enjoyed both during the day and at night.
