I love movies, I love century 16, I’ve been going here to this one specifically in anchorage since I was a kid and i’ve never had a bad experience until today. Today when i came out of my movie, my car was broken into and my purse was stolen. Last year, i know in this exact parking lot my friend’s entire car was stolen as well. Now i did all the things i should, i filed the police report and etc etc. but I seriously think the staff in charge of this Century 16 ( if they have the ability and if not: please share this with higher ups) should at the very least invest in some security cameras for there parking lot if there place is going to be a hotspot for this kind of stuff. The patrons and even staff that support this movie theatre shouldn’t have to worry about this happening when there at century 16. Genuinely I think having the cameras would prevent most of the crime in the first place and in this economy not all of us can pay to have our things replaced or fixed, but that thought shouldn’t stop us from going to the movies. But now, I don’t want to go to the movies, and if I do…I don’t know if it’ll be at century 16.

Employee Recognition – August 9 I wanted to take a moment to recognize an employee who went above and beyond during my visit on August 9 when I came to see the Spider-Man movie. When I got to my seat, there was some popcorn spilled on it and the seat was wet. It was the only seat that had any mess on it, so I’m sure it was something that happened after the theater had already been cleaned. I found an employee walking by outside another theater and asked if he could help me. I believe his name was Zee (I’m not 100% sure—I remember him mentioning that he had a difficult name and people often called him something else). Regardless of his name, I remember how kind and polite he was. He immediately helped me with the situation and did so with such good manners and a pleasant attitude. It may seem like a small thing, but I really appreciated that he took the time to help me without making me feel like I was inconveniencing him. I actually told him that I would make sure his manager knew how helpful he was, but unfortunately, after my movie ended, I couldn’t find an employee to give the compliment to directly. So I wanted to leave this recognition here instead. I hope his manager sees this and is able to give him the recognition he deserves. Employees like him make a difference, and I just wanted to make sure his kindness didn’t go unnoticed. Thank you, Zee, for being so helpful and kind! 😊
