We booked reservations and were seated promptly. Hospitality was good and our refreshments arrived quickly. After placing our Order-Approximately one hour had passed, We noticed that guests that had arrived after us had already been served. It’s hard not to lose your patience as we were on limited time. We were celebrating our Daughter’s graduation from Air Force BMT- my husband stood up to look for service and nobody was available so he walked away from the table and crossed paths with Presumably the manager-The question asked was straightforward. When is our food going to arrive to our table? After that, another 10-15 had passed, and finally, our food arrived- Mussels dish was already at a cooled down Temperature, the toast was extremely hard and cold, almost stale- The salmon was at a warm temperature. Tasty but the side dish seemed charred and also cold.- Lastly, the chicken Cobb salad was just ok OK-But overpriced- The views are amazing, but also caused you to stare at all the dusty window edges-As well as the bottom edge of the walkway against the paneling, very dusty-Bathrooms were not kept, And a little cleaning at the elevator waiting Seating area would be nice. Overall, we wished that it would’ve been more memorable and we hate to leave these sorts of reviews, but we’re leaving it so that hopefully the restaurant staff Especially management-takes it with a grain of salt.

Waste of money to be honest. You go up look around and that's really it. There is no tour or anything like that. They have construction going on. Parking was $15 Took us longer to walk from parking then to go up and take pictures and come back down. The view even though nice not worth the admission price.

4/5 – Iconic San Antonio views, but expect some hiccups at the top We headed to the Tower of the Americas on a Monday evening for happy hour around 6:00 pm with friends. The line for the scenic elevator was short and quick — it shoots you up 750 feet in no time. The glass/windows weren't sparkling clean, but we still grabbed some solid pictures and video of the city. Once at the top, a staff member told us to sit anywhere in the lounge area (Bar 601 level), but finding a good spot for four people wasn't straightforward. We pushed some chairs together and made it work. Service was noticeably slow that night. Our simple drink order — Diet Coke, regular Coke, sweet tea, and two waters — seemed to confuse the waitress. A different server eventually brought one Coke and one water, then returned with the rest after some clarification. For food, my wife and I split the fish tacos, while our friends had the artichoke spread with bread. The bites were decent but nothing memorable — standard bar fare with room for improvement. The real star is the panoramic view as everything slowly rotates, but our seating gave us mostly sky for a good portion instead of the full sweep of San Antonio (pro tip: try to snag a table with better sightlines if you can). Refills brought more mix-ups, even on basic orders. We've noticed similar service comments in other reviews, so it might be par for the course during busy times. Overall take: The Tower of the Americas is a classic San Antonio landmark with those jaw-dropping 360° views that make it worth the trip, especially for visitors or a fun happy hour meet-up (4:30–7 pm Mon–Fri). The observation deck and rotating lounge deliver the wow factor, but go in knowing the food is average, service can lag, and table positioning affects how much you actually see of the city below. It's a solid experience for the novelty and height — we'd recommend it for first-timers or out-of-towners, just don't expect fine-dining polish. Pair it with the 4D theater or observation deck if you're doing the full ticket. Would we return? Yeah, for the unbeatable views and that “on top of the world” feeling, but we'd be more strategic about seating and timing next time.

I’m extremely disappointed with this entire experience. From the moment I arrived for my 8:15 PM dual reservation, things were handled poorly. The hostess—who was not friendly at all—told me I had to wait for a text, while other guests were allowed to walk in and be seated immediately. I ended up waiting until 8:35 PM just to be allowed upstairs, and even then, there was no effort made to be helpful or welcoming. Once upstairs, I asked—again—for my table of 2 and table of 4 to be seated near each other. Considering the restaurant was half empty on a Tuesday night, this should not have been an issue. Instead, I was dismissed and told they “couldn’t accommodate” the request without any real explanation. For a $600+ bill, I certainly did not expect to be treated this way. It only got worse from there. When I asked for a high chair for my daughter, I was made to feel like it was an inconvenience—and I never even received one. After waiting another 20 minutes upstairs, I was finally taken to the table for 4. Ironically, there was an empty table for 2 right next to it, so I asked if the rest of my party—still waiting—could sit there. Once again, I was dismissed. The only bright spot in this entire experience was my son’s waiter. After my son asked him directly, he accommodated us immediately without hesitation and reassured us not to worry. Shockingly, he was then reprimanded—loudly and in front of us—by another staff member for helping us. It was embarrassing and completely unprofessional. Apparently, they claimed the table was reserved for a 9:45 PM reservation. However, I was never told that specific tables could be reserved, and given that my own 8:15 reservation wasn’t honored, that excuse felt completely unreasonable. It was made very clear that the incoming party of 2 was more important than my party of 6 and we all felt it. The only person who deserves any recognition for being an excellent employee was my son's waiter and the photographer. Everyone else fell short and I will never return.

We are still attempting to talk to anyone in charge for a refund and an apology after a horrific experience today. We and many other families were stuck and held on the deck with no employees to be found at either elevator bank or anywhere on the deck after multiple loud alarms went off and a very loud announcement stating please stand by for an important announcement was made. Nothing else was announced! We tried to call the main number operator and she didn’t know either!!! We all stood around in fear for almost ten minutes when a young woman came to us and said you need to go over here. She didn’t even explain that she meant the other elevator bank. Most frighteningly she didn’t explain what was going on. When I quietly asked she said I think it’s a false alarm and acted very strange. We went downstairs shaken and saw multiple fire fighters and no one explaining anything. No one knew what was happening. We watched the ten minute movie to calm down even the ladies there could not explain what happened. Our viewing deck experience was terrible as it was cut off by that scary experience. We then asked to speak to whoever was in charge as multiple employees could not explain what happened and were equally as baffled. Turns out the same woman came with no apology no refund only to say you went up there you watched the movie no refund. She gave a fake email and not even sure her real name. So others who were upset could not even report this! Please advise. And I have already sent info to what link you posted as a non response to others with problems. That is unacceptable in this day and age with terror attacks always a possiblility you and your staff member should be ashamed for such a devastating experience today. We all deserve a real response apology and refund!!!
