  I really want to thank Chris for being super helpful during my first visit to the Chart House restaurant. I am very vegan and he talked me through several options so I can enjoy my visit. He is very passionate about what he does and is very relatable. He is a great member of the team and the overall brand. Please ask for Chris if you dine here. Thanks Chris.

  Honestly kind of meh. We paid over $100 to go up to the observation deck before our lunch reservation (3 adults, 3 kids). The views are great! But the whole area has an “abandoned, run down theme park” feel. Do NOT pay for the observation deck if you’re already planning on eating in the restaurant. It’s the same exact views obviously. They make it seem like you’ll get more out of the observation deck area. You don’t. As for the restaurant, the staff were all very sullen. Something felt sad about the place. Like it used be fancy, but now it’s not. Like a tired old grandma or something. We were seated and enjoying the views, but we waited no-kidding one full hour for our food to show up. I got fish and chips. The fish was mushy and over fried. There were 17 french fries on my plate, the skinny small ones. My son got the kids meal “Grilled Chicken.” He’s only 8 but he took one bite and was like, “Dad this chicken has no flavor.” I tried it, and can confirm it was the worst chicken I’ve ever had. Zero flavor. Just a flat grilled piece of rubber. Bottom line—this place is ONLY in business because of the views. And yes, the views of ol’ San Antonio are solid. But the restaurant is objectively, based on my one single experience, not good. God speed.

  Me and about 10 family members came. We came durning construction and were really excited about going to the observation deck. Upon arrival they let us know the wait was about 10 mins to go up. We waited 25 mins. No big deal. Once we got up it was beautiful but quite boring as it’s literally just an observation deck. No interesting facts about the city or the tower other than a few photos. The most horrible part was going down. We waited 45 mins in the front of the line as construction workers and restaurants workers were able to go in front of my pregnant sister and little kids. Once it was our turn a maintenance man said we needed to switch elevator as the one( the only one in working order needed a break for some reason) they tried the other elevator but said it wasn’t working as well. They let us go down but felt very uneasy after they tried to change the elevator. I asked for the manager down on the ground level. Someone pointed me out to her and I said excuse me. She ignored me and kept waiting I said excuse me again and she rolled her eyes before I was even to explain my concern. My concern is strictly safety as my children and pregnant sister could have been stuck over 500ft up. She didn’t care and was very rude to me. I didn’t get her name but she is the Latina lady with tiny eyebrows. I suggest everyone to not come here as it’s simply unsafe. Who wants to get stuck in the elevator. Do not waste your money and time coming here. The manager don’t care neither do the workers. This was my worst experience durning my vacation in SA.

  The Tower is currently under renovation, so there's not a lot to see up on the observation deck - there are nice views, but none of the educational signage that you might see at other tall tower observation decks. Would recommend waiting until after renovations are complete to visit, unless you don't have any other options but to visit right now.

  Our dinner at the Tower of the Americas was easily a highlight of our time in San Antonio. Even with a minor setback regarding the rotation, the experience was excellent in every way. The Highlights: Exceptional Service: Our waiter was incredible and truly went out of his way to accommodate us. He mentioned he’s been with the Tower for 20 years, and it’s clear why—that kind of expertise and hospitality is rare to find. The Atmosphere: Having dinner while overlooking the entire city is a spectacular experience. The transition from the dining room to the Observation Deck after our meal was seamless and offered even more breathtaking perspectives of the San Antonio skyline. The Views: Even without the rotation, the view is the best in the city. Watching the city lights come on during dinner was amazing. Note for Visitors: The tower is currently undergoing some construction, so the restaurant wasn't rotating during our visit. However, the quality of the food and the top-tier service more than made up for it. It’s still the absolute best spot for a celebratory dinner or a scenic night out. 10/10 – Definitely worth the visit for the service alone!
