This is a difficult review to post because we have always enjoyed SeaLife in San Antonio. Unfortunately, our visit yesterday, March 14, 2026, was not as pleasant as our previous visits. An employee by the name of Diana, grabbed my son’s hand ,TWO times, in an aggressive manner because my son touched the souvenirs on display. Keep in mind, I let the employee know we intended on purchasing the item after the first time she grabbed my son’s hand and pushed it away. After the second time that the employee, Diana, grabbed my sons hand and pushed it away, I had to ask her politely to refrain from any physical contact with my son because he is a child and is only 5 years old. I requested to speak to a manger on site and the employee, Diana pointed to the cashier next to us. I voiced my concerns to the person that was allegedly the manager only to find out that she was NOT a manager.
I am still in shock that someone, especially an employee of the SeaLife aquarium, would act in such an unacceptable manner.
I feel OBLIGATED to leave this review so no other child is treated the way my son was treated yesterday. I would also like to add that I DID purchase the souvenir that my son touched (although that should not matter).
I highly recommend a training for the existing employees at the SeaLife aquarium. I hope the Human Resources Team and Management Team, take this matter serious.
My son and I visit this aquarium frequently because my son has a deep admiration for all sea creatures. Please take that into consideration.
