Preschool Group Music Classes
-We believe that the benefits of music education can begin in early childhood, just as soon as
any other form of learning.
Times –
We offer Preschool Music Classes for children who are not quite ready to start learning a
musical instrument by taking individual lessons.
These classes are designed for small groups of 3-4 children aged 0-4 with their parent. Each
class will focus on fun and educational activities that very young children can follow and enjoy.
Refreshments are served.
Please ask the Front Desk for a current class schedule.
What are your billing cycles/calendar?
Billing cycles are not based on the calendar month, like rent, but rather
recurring the same day of each month, like a subscription service. The tuition you pay provides
you with a dedicated weekly time slot and instructor that is exclusive for you and unavailable to
other students.
Monthly rates are based on 4 lessons per month. However, there are times when you may
receive 5 lessons in a month due to the calendar, or fewer than 4 lessons in a month due to
holidays or other closures which do not receive makeups or prorated fees (details in our Policies
& Agreements).
Moreover, we guarantee that each student will receive 48 lessons per year (4 lessons x 12
months).
What is the length of lessons?
For a young beginner, we find that 30 minutes, once a week is usually ideal.
We also offer 60-minute weekly sessions. Each lesson is densely packed and provides instruction for continuing progress through practice throughout the week.
Do prices vary between instruments?
Prices are based on session length and are the same for
each instrument. The only exceptions would be:
-Music Production, which are 60 minutes only and not available as 30-minute sessions.
-Less-common or specialized instruments, which might be offered as 30-min or 60-min sessions depending on instructor availability.
What is the minimum age for 1-on-1 lessons?
Every child is unique, but we are happy to assess students age 4 and older for 1-on-1 lessons.
Depending on the child's age/size, we may recommend that very young students interested in Guitar start with the Ukulele as it is functionally similar to the Guitar but much smaller in size.
What are your methods of teaching?
We use various method, technique, and music theory books to teach personalized
lessons based on each child's goals and progress. Methods include fundamentals and theory, in addition to practical application, personalized to each student’s learning style, needs, and interests.
Are books included?
The books are charged separately - you are welcome to purchase them yourself, but
when we provide them we include our music school discount so the cost is typically the same or less than buying them from a retailer.
Is there home practice?
We have instruments here at the school that can be borrowed during lessons,
but the student will need their own instrument to practice at home. The instructor can help with assessing the proper size if needed. Then, you are welcome to rent or purchase an instrument from any provider - we also have rental instruments here at our school that the student may bring home.
Do you provide special needs classes?
We have many neurodiverse students with varying abilities, needs, and learning
styles. We are always happy to provide an adaptive and suitable learning environment for all our students. Please note that the lessons may be associated with a higher cost, depending on the accommodations and session length.
