My brother dragged me to watch a movie and I didn't want to. I enjoyed the experience. The seats and area was clean. The others watching the movie were respectful. The restrooms were clean and the staff helpful and friendly. I would recommend it, even though I am not the type to watch movies.

I took 2 young grandsons. $30. For 1 senor and 2 child tickets. Another $30. For 2 kid snack packs and a median drink. I never thought it would cost $60!

My movie started at 11:45 AM, and I arrived at 11:33 AM. I ordered a large fresh popcorn and was told it would take 20+ minutes, and I was given a pager. That wait time would cause anyone to miss the start of a movie. I stayed near the counter instead of going inside. Less than 10 minutes later, I watched the popcorn being prepared. Fresh popcorn was poured from the kettle into an older batch, mixed together, and then served — which was disappointing after being told I was waiting specifically for “fresh” popcorn. When the pager went off, the employee stepped away and then asked me, “Is that for you?” even though I was the only person who ordered fresh popcorn and the only one given a pager. That was confusing and unnecessary. What stood out the most was the difference in service. I was not asked if I wanted butter, while every customer with fair skin who came to the counter after me was asked if they wanted butter and had it added without hesitation. I was made to walk away and get butter myself, only to be told the machine was working when it actually was not. Another employee had to step in to help me. By that point, the entire interaction felt selective, frustrating, and uncomfortable. Based on the clear differences in how I was treated compared to others, the experience felt discriminatory, and I honestly left feeling singled out and targeted. The tone of the service came across as “nice-nasty,” and the way everything played out made it hard not to question whether race played a role. I had just gotten off work and came to the movies to relax, not to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome over something as basic as popcorn. It’s also worth noting that every other employee I interacted with during that shift was friendly and professional — this issue stemmed from one specific employee, who was the only person to cause a problem during my visit. While this may seem like a small issue, the combination of misleading wait times, questionable food handling, and noticeably inconsistent service left a bad impression. Because of this experience, I don’t feel inclined to return to this location. For clarity, the employee involved was the concession worker with pink hair working the counter around 11:30 AM. This detail is included only so management can accurately identify the interaction. Customer service and food preparation should be consistent and respectful for everyone.
