  As an out of town traveler, it was wonderful to find such a fine cinema in Lubbock. I enjoyed myself so much on Tuesday, I returned Thursday for the premiere of "Bride".

  My cousin purchased some popcorn buckets and was told she could get free refills. Didn’t have an issue until today. When I asked for a refill the 1st girl said ok and took my “Goat” bucket and was about to fill it when she was stopped, by I assume was a manager and said if it was purchased today. I said no and that they were sold out. So I asked her how much is a refill? She said they don’t do refills, but was so rude! So I said I’ll just purchase a popcorn, then she interrupted and said we can’t put it in the bucket. I just said nvm and give me the bucket back and left. I was ok with the no refills rule if that’s the case, but she didn’t have to be rude about it! I mean my cousin purchased two buckets with the impression it would be free refills. Don’t advertise lies just to get them sold!

  Yesterday, I went back to what I thought was a really nice theater, for a matinee. Unfortunately, I was severely harassed by several staff members, while I was waiting for the movie showing I purchased, to start. I was walking in the lobby, and I was followed several times by staff. I was questioned several times, as to which I told them I was waiting for the showtime to begin. Walking in the lobby is not a crime. I am African American, which should have no consequence, in 2026. Then, I went to get snacks, and when I returned to the movie seating, I heard the staff member, that was cleaning, saying over the radio, “Oh, I found him….” This was totally ridiculous, and I won’t be returning.
