  Honestly if I could give 0 stars, I would. I went to tour this venue back in May with my husband. We loved it and booked it for our baby shower in August. Fast forward to the day of our baby shower, we were first unable to even get in at the time we paid to start at. After I called the host to get let in, it was then 80 degrees inside the house. We had to turn on a portable AC unit (which was not in the house when we toured) and fans that I had to ask my baby shower guests to bring (So embarrassing). The thermostat on the wall could not even be turned on, so I called the host again regarding the AC and was told an HVAC company would be right out. A hour or so into the shower, The HVAC company came and told me “it should start to cool off” but there was no air even coming out of the vents. When I confronted the host she told me “with that many people and the door opening and closing, it wouldn’t cool off” and that we were the problem for having the door open while bringing in our decorations and refreshments to set up before the shower. I’m sorry but if you’re offering to host an event that you say your venue can accommodate this many guests, the amount of guests and the door opening and closing should not be a problem? At this point it’s almost 90 degrees in the building and all of my guests were saying it felt better outside in august in Texas. My husband checked the AC unit outside multiple times before and after the HVAC people came and said it was never running the entire time. He also said the side of the house was full of trash and smelled so bad. When we’re paying a cleaning fee that didn’t sit well that the previous party’s trash was still in the yard. After confronting the host after our event, we learned that the HVAC people had already been out the morning of our shower so they admittedly knew there was an issue with the AC before we even arrived and did not say a word and acted surprised when I called about the AC not working and then tried blaming us for the AC not running correctly. I am 8 months pregnant, there are 3 other girls very pregnant as well as elderly at this shower. The host is STILL arguing that WE are to blame for the faulty AC for the door opening and closing and having people inside the home making it hard to cool off. They knew this was a baby shower. I was told we would receive a reimbursement and never did. over a week later still nothing and now she is saying it was never a reimbursement but a “credit” which still has not been received and we are still being blamed for the faulty AC and more and more excuses are being made. Again, I booked this venue back in May for my shower in August you’d think that would be plenty of time to check on the AC rather than the morning of my shower unless they knew something was wrong with the AC.

  This is such a beautiful space! Once you go, you'll leave with such a full spirit! Host private party or a fun local event!

  We had my daughter’s sweet 16 birthday party here. She just loved the aesthetics as it is very fashionably decorated! Ashley is great to work with and very flexible and accommodating. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because they were a little late to let us in the day of the party so that we could decorate,. Also, when I did a walk-through to view the venue, I was told there would be cornhole and a giant Jenga game outside but neither of those were available on the day of my daughters party. With that being said, this really is a great place to host, almost any kind of event.

  139 Olive was the perfect place for my 50th birthday party! Ashley and Mike have done an fantastic job at renovating and decorating the property. Every space is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed, so no need to spend a lot on decorating the space. Mike even created a menu of drinks for the occasion! We had an amazing time dancing the night away. Thank you for creating this beautiful space!
