Not worth the money! This “ luxury “ theater feels like a hole in the wall! It was super super cold in there , food was absolutely NASTY, ordered a chicken wrap the croutons was already soggy my first bite, chicken tenders were under cooked, tasted like microwaveable food! $50 dollars for tickets & $73 for 2 plates, water, apple juice & wine. Do not waste your money just because they have nice seats that are in its own pod! Go elsewhere it is other theaters that are cheaper with recliner seats & great food!

I wanted to give this place a better review, but not today. I’ve always been curious about this theater, we usually go to Star Cinema Grill. You’d think with this theater being in River Oaks, you’d get the best service. We were greeted with friendly smiles walking into the theater. They asked if we needed help finding our seats. The seats were comfy and it was clean. Our order button either did t work or the servers were really slow. I finally flagged a server down and he pressed my order button but never said it was broken, he said I’ll get your server. We ordered food, the food was good. I had asked for water, but it didn’t come with my food. I asked for water again, I never got it. I asked for a box for my pizza, I had to ask twice. Then my ticket was wrong, there was an extra item on there that I didn’t order. 🤷🏻♀️ Overall, I wasn’t impressed, I was disappointed.

Got it. Here’s a balanced, glowing-but-honest Google review that reads helpful, experienced, and friendly, with practical tips folded in naturally.

IPIC Theater
IPIC is one of my favorite spots for either a date night or a solo movie outing. The seating, blankets, service, and overall atmosphere make it feel like a luxury experience rather than a standard movie theater. It’s intimate, comfortable, and perfect if you want something a little elevated.
That said, the tickets are definitely on the expensive side. If you’re trying to be more budget-conscious, I highly recommend going for a daytime matinee when prices are lower. Otherwise, it’s a great option if you’re looking to impress someone or treat yourself.
I often come here solo for movies my husband isn’t interested in seeing, especially animated or more whimsical films. It’s a great place to enjoy a movie by yourself without feeling awkward or rushed.
One quick heads-up for first-timers: when you order food through the seat service system, IPIC places an automatic hold on your card, usually around $75–$100. The first time this happened, it caught me off guard, but it’s just part of their process and not an actual charge. Don’t be alarmed.
Overall, I highly recommend IPIC for a more intimate, comfortable movie experience. Whether it’s a date night or a solo treat, it’s a 10 out of 10 for me. If you a broke boy… this ain’t the place for you

@Ipic
My family and I have been loyal iPic guests for many years, and I’ve been a Gold Member since 2010. We've been visiting the River Oaks location since 2015, especially for major releases. On Saturday, December 20th, we came to see Avatar and invited several family members along, including my 12-year-old, who was visiting for the first time.
First, the positives: both escalators were working upon entry, which was great to see, as that hasn’t always been the case in the past. Food was a 10/10, and service was also a solid 10/10—exactly what we’ve come to expect from iPic.
However, the restrooms continue to be a major disappointment. Whether it’s the unisex bathroom or the separate men’s and women’s restrooms, the floors are consistently filthy. This isn’t a one-time observation—I’ve visited during both daytime and evening hours, and it’s always the same. For a luxury cinema with a large staff, there’s really no excuse. The bathrooms should be cleaned regularly throughout the day, not just at opening or closing. At the very least, the floors need professional cleaning or more frequent maintenance.
Because of this ongoing issue, I’m deducting two stars. I wish I had taken a photo, but I don’t use my phone in the restroom. Still, this is something management should already be aware of and address promptly.
I truly hope this feedback is taken seriously, because iPic is otherwise a great experience and one we’ve supported for many years.

Come here if you want to spend $25+ a ticket to have people text throughout the whole movie with the brightest light and ruin your whole movie experience. On top of that, the guests will take 3 phone calls while seated in the theater. Want to alert staff of the rude guests? Go ahead and tell staff 3 times and the staff will do absolutely nothing. If you do go to IPic, absolutely avoid the back row as your booth is cut short. Most expensive and worst movie experience of my life.
