- RPRachel PageNov 25, 20255.0My team ventured to downtown Houston for an early holiday party last week and my boss booked us an evening cocktail party after dinner at Bandista. While our original reservation had a hiccup, the staff made it right and the evening did not disappoint. We were lucky enough to enjoy the special space when it was in full Christmas regalia- (think a swanky, cozy loft procured with the kitschy, over-the-top holiday section of Kuhl-Linscomb). As a child of 90's R&B, the playlist was also on point. The hostesses were warm, but what really blew us away were the insanely warm, welcoming, FUNNY and absolutely charismatic bartenders. They have a very special procured menu with something for everyone- from fantastic, original nonalcoholic options to high end cocktails with specialty liquors, the menu is custom and over the top. Each drink's presentation is an experience in itself, and the environment was amazing. Perfect for a girls night (there was an elevated, classy bachelorette party with us when we were there), company party, or more- I LOVED our time at Bandista. I just wouldn't recommend coming hungry- we didn't see anyone eating all night and I don't recall a food menu. Bandista seems to be for sips, not munching. We will be back for sure!
