Never have any issues here. The staff is friendly, the facility is clean and so is the parking lot. They also have earlier showings so you can see a movie starting around 10:30 AM if you ever have time to burn. Been going here since I was a kid, can't go wrong with Tinseltown.

I’m an audiophile and usually pay close attention to theater sound quality, which is why this stood out immediately.
At Cinemark Tinseltown (Auditorium 13 – Cinemark XD), there appears to be a serious channel routing issue with the audio system.
I’ve watched two different movies here about three weeks apart, and the issue was consistent both times, so it doesn’t seem like a temporary glitch.
Here’s what I observed:
- The center channel seems inactive (dialogue is not anchored to the screen).
- Dialogue/vocals are coming primarily from the right speakers, which is incorrect.
- Music and effects are skewed toward the left side, with little to no balance on the right.
- It feels like the left and right channels may be summed incorrectly, or routing is misconfigured.
- Subwoofers appear to be working normally.
- Surround channels are harder to verify precisely, but didn’t obviously compensate for the imbalance.
Even with mono or stereo content, audio should be evenly distributed across the front channels (left and right, and often center). In this auditorium, the signal collapses predominantly to the left, which indicates a channel routing or speaker failure rather than normal playback behavior.
This is not a content issue—this behavior is consistent with a center channel failure combined with incorrect channel routing, not standard mono/stereo playback.
This results in a very unnatural and distracting listening experience, especially in an XD auditorium where audio quality is expected to be top-tier.
If anyone from the theater team sees this, I’d strongly recommend checking:
- Center channel amplifier/speaker
- LCR routing configuration
- Channel calibration and balance
This likely needs technical attention, not just a quick reset.
Hope this gets resolved soon, because otherwise the theater itself is great.

The place is nice. We loved the XD theater and we did the D-Box seats. A little pricy but it was fun. The entrance is beautiful very open very spacious. The popcorn was fresh and perfectly buttered. The blue Icee could use a little more favor. The only problem I would say is they have only 1 restroom, yes they are big, but for the entire theatre. And it’s all the way at the front of the building. Other than the restroom issue I would say it was a wonderful visit. The staff were very welcoming from start to end. Will be back soon.

Do not do movies rewards. They here service is slow and terrible. You paid for the extra stuff yet none of these idiots at the counter. Want to help you. They just sit there and stare at you like oh you’re not buying anything so I’m not gonna help you. I will not be renewed my subscription ever again with these people. I’m done. I’m staying here for 15 minutes and they’re looking at me like I’m an idiot. do not go here and do not sign for a stupid rewards because they don’t give a crap.
They only care if you pay now. The kids wanna come with me asking if I need ok, I’ll be there it’s been 15 minutes. No one showed up. I literally came by. Did the same thing. I’m about to miss my movie because these associates don’t wanna help.

Went to see I Can Only Imagine in Auditorium 6, and I’m honestly done with people who have zero respect for reserved seating.
If I book my seat early, it’s because I chose that exact spot. It’s not a suggestion — it’s my seat. Stop sitting in seats that aren’t yours and then acting like it’s negotiable when you’re asked to move.
And interrupting someone in the middle of a movie to ask them to switch seats? That’s incredibly rude and entitled. Plan ahead or deal with the seats you picked.
Movie theaters also need to step up and enforce a clear policy: no switching seats once the movie starts and no disturbing other guests. People pay to watch a movie, not to be bothered.
It’s really not complicated: book early, sit where you’re assigned, and don’t bother other people trying to enjoy their movie. Basic courtesy shouldn’t be this hard.
