Just remember if you want to park by the beach you need a cell phone with money on a bank card. Signs posted with the number to call to pay for parking. Sorry I didn't park so I don't know the price. The price was not posted. I went January 1 so it was really crowded as far as parking.

This is something you have to do at least once in Galveston! The all day pass is definitely the best option, and we purchased it online ahead of time so we just had to pick up our wristbands when we arrived. Our family had a wonderful time on all of the rides! Everything was clean and well maintained, and the staff members were nice. The Iron Shark was definitely the kids’ favorite ride, in addition to the swings and the Sea Dragon. The Ferris Wheel is also great for relaxing and enjoying the awesome views. All of the food we tried was good, as well, but we didn’t eat much since we were so busy riding the rides :)

Galveston Island Pleasure Pier — The pier itself isn’t bad: nice Gulf views, classic rides, and a fun boardwalk atmosphere. But it’s way overpriced for what you get — admission, food, and ride tickets add up fast and the value doesn’t match the cost. My bigger issue was their no-weapons policy. I respect safety rules, but as someone who legally carries, it felt restrictive and honestly made me less comfortable rather than more. That feeling comes from the real context of the area: Galveston’s violent crime rate is around 537 per 100,000 residents and property crime is about 2,380 per 100,000, which is well above the national averages, and overall crime here is roughly 37–38% higher than most U.S. cities. With that in mind, being told I can’t carry made the experience feel off. Not a terrible place to visit, just overpriced and not aligned with the safety priorities of someone who carries. 3/5 — okay for a quick stop, but not worth a dedicated trip.

Excellent spot to hit up when on vacation in Galveston! Everyone is friendly and helpful, only one ride was down while we were there but that didn’t seem to bother the kids. Pricing similar to bigger parks if you do “individual“ ride passes, highly suggest the full day ride pass. Also the arcade cards allow you to play all the outside games as well. Beautiful 60+ degree day here on New Year’s Eve!

A bit expensive unless everyone in your party likes to go on rides. I thought the midway games were included, so I got an all day pass for everyone in my party. The passes were well worth it for my husband and daughter. The midway games were fine, usually $5 for 2 or 3 chances. The food was expensive, but you can leave to go eat somewhere and come back in. We got there at noon on a Saturday, and it wasn’t busy. When we came back from lunch at 3:00, it was a bit busier, but we only had to wait 10-ish minutes for the Ferris wheel and shark coaster. Three of the rides were closed when we got there, but they fixed the shark coaster while we were there and got it running. The big swing and the Revolution ride were never open. We left around 5:00, so I’m. It sure how busy it was in the evening. Overall, I think it was an okay experience for a family with 2 teenagers. If I were to do redo it, I would get walk-on passes for my son and me instead. Expect to spend a lot of money and enjoy the views and atmosphere.
