  Great concept and we had fun, but we showed up about 45 minutes before the After Hours and due to their rules, we were going to have to pay for time we couldn’t use, then clear the area, then buy shirts for our entire party. Sucky to find out at the counter, but I should have done more homework before showing up with 9 people. We ultimately gave in and decided to do it anyway despite it being nearly $400 including the mandatory shirt and sock purchases. But then they didn’t have the correct size shirts for over half of our party, so we decided to slide for thirty minutes and squeal tires out of there. Oh, and I screwed up and paid cash and it took 6 minutes of my sliding time for them to bring my change. Zero apologies from the staff. I just want whoever owns or manages this place to know we planned our trip around visiting their business and we did not feel welcomed or appreciated whatsoever. And I’m not one to leave bad reviews. They did give me a $5 off my next visit from a large stack that I assume all patrons receive. Yay.

  We had my son’s 10th birthday party on a Friday night which was perfect because it wasn’t to crowded. The place was very clean and well kept and there seemed to be plenty of employees keeping track of kids making sure they were kept safe. Our party host, Kaylee, was great. She was very friendly and introduced herself right away with a smile. She came around at all the appropriate times and was helpful with offering everts plates, napkins, and refilled drinks without asking. She kept things low pressure and I only had to deal with her. I called a few hours earlier to add another pizza and they had no issues with that. Price was a little expensive, but I guess they all are these days. They ran through the bill and final guest count with me to be sure the final amount was accurate. I’d recommend to have your party there. Well worth the experience.

  My son came to the park for the first time on Saturday. It was great, he loved it! The best part of our visit was a crew member Ava! She was the monitor at the top of the big side and she was so patient and encouraging to my son. After a long conversation with Ava he was brave enough to go down! He was extremely proud of himself and he went back up to thank her! Great job Ava! We will definitely be back!

  I went with my little sister and had a lot of fun! after a little while slides become quite repetitive, but other than that it’s really fun! One of the workers, I think her name was Kensley, helped my little sister gain the confidence to go down one of the slides which was really sweet and she was just a cool person in general. I had fun and please help me find Kensley again.

  Regarding Slick City’s disregard of a child’s wellbeing, here is an account from a good friend: “My 8-year-old daughter, diagnosed with celiac disease and type 1 diabetes at 18 months, was invited to a friend’s birthday party at Slick City in Plano, TX. Prior to the party, I learned that Slick City doesn’t offer gluten-free food options, a necessity for those living with celiac. When we arrived for the party, I asked the front desk if I could bring my daughter a gluten-free meal. They informed me of their policy prohibiting outside food and there is a $50 fee for any food brought in. I explained my daughter’s dietary needs and the importance of food during the party to prevent low blood sugar. They reiterated their policy and refused to waive the fee and instead offered her the option of eating outside. I insisted that my daughter’s medical needs were not being accommodated and I refused to make her feel even more different by forcing her to eat outside and not with the party. I spoke to the manager and he restated their policy again and that she could eat outside if I didn't want to pay the fee. I felt I had no other choice but to bring her a gluten-free meal and pay the fee. I was appalled by the staff's lack of remorse and consideration of my daughter's medical needs. When I wrote an email to their corporate headquarters, the response I received was that they are sorry for the inconvenience and will review their policy. They made no follow-up phone call or offer of a refund. We will never go to Slick City again and will be contacting our lawyers regarding their blatant disregard of the Americans with Disabilities Act.“
