I am a Platinum Rewards Member and a frequent patron at this location approximately three to four times per month, including well before the current staff was employed. During my most recent visit, I requested fresh popcorn—a reasonable request for a customer who frequents the theater regularly. A concession employee named Avy insisted the popcorn was “just popped” and then proceeded to mock my request to who happened to be her manager and staff while fresh popcorn was being prepared. This behavior was both inappropriate and unprofessional. When I requested to speak with a manager, I was informed that the matter would be addressed. However, during this interaction, Avy interrupted and loudly stated, “And my name is Avy!” This further escalated the situation and demonstrated a confrontational demeanor that is not aligned with the level of customer service I expect from Cinemark. Requesting fresh popcorn should never result in ridicule or hostility. I found this interaction disappointing and unacceptable, particularly given my loyalty as a regular customer. I respectfully ask that this matter be reviewed and that staff be reminded that customer requests—especially reasonable ones—should be handled with professionalism and respect at all times. Thank you for your time and attention. I hope this feedback helps improve future guest experiences.
