  The people that go can be so weird and rude and the website to get tickets is so laggy you’re better off just going to regal or another movie theater if you want a good fun time because I Dindt really have the best experience here🤷‍♀️

  It was a great experience. I came here to see the Stranger Things episode. I was super late, but they still let me in the movie theater because I know some movie theaters won’t let you in after a certain time. I haven’t been to the movie theaters in a while so they had a lot of their snacks already out and only had to do is grab it and go check out at the register. There was a lot of parking wasn’t super crowded. I also went at like 9 o’clock in the morning. Everybody was super nice when I asked them questions. The movie theater itself had really nice recliner seats and it wasn’t very difficult to find my seat. The food was good. It didn’t feel like it was super overpriced.

  Stephen at the entrance of the Cinemark Southpark Meadows was hands down one of the rudest employees I’ve ever encountered. As I was actively pulling up my tickets on my phone, he impatiently told the person behind me to come forward and go ahead of me “until I figure it out.” Excuse me??? I had my tickets — I wasn’t confused, lost, or holding up the line. I was doing exactly what you’re supposed to do. The interaction was dismissive, disrespectful, and completely unnecessary. It made me feel rushed and embarrassed for no reason at all. Basic customer service would be to give someone two seconds to open their tickets — not treat them like an inconvenience. If Stephen represents the standard for guest service at this location, that’s a serious problem. People go to the movies to relax, not to be talked down to at the door. Do better.

  The popcorn is not safe to eat. My family got food poisoning from it. Upon checking other recent reviews, someone else also mentioned how the popcorn made them sick too. Cinemark, take action so others don’t get sick too.

  I would recommend avoiding this theater as they will cancel your tickets without any explanation. I purchased tickets for the Stranger Things finale and received a message later that my tickets were canceled due to a “showtime cancelation” but the screening was still available in the exact same auditorium and they were selling the same seats to other movies throughout the day so it’s not like there was an issue with the seats themselves. What likely happened is that a manager canceled the tickets so a friend can get the seats. Incredibly shady practices and when I called them, they couldn’t explain why it occurred. We’re in Austin anyway, stick with Alamo or AMC or even Regal. No reason to go to Cinemark
