We came to celebrate my sister's 50th birthday on Feb 28th and our the experience started off ok and ended awfully. The female server wasn't all that friendly when we arrived for our wine tasting that we booked through their website. She didnt know about the wine tasting option and when she went to ask she was told the gentleman wouldn't do the guide but we could get the flight! However, things went down from there when she forgot her birthday card and went back to get it & it was gone. We were the only ppl on the patio so it's Funny no server turned it in. HONESTY huge for us & for this to happened makes me disappointed with the winery.

We attended the Michael Richards meet-and-greet at City Winery Nashville and were very disappointed with how the experience was handled. No rules or restrictions were communicated in advance about what items could be signed. Based on typical meet-and-greet expectations, we brought an item from home for signing. Upon arrival, City Winery staff allowed us to bring the item into the venue, and we held it through the entire 2.5-hour program believing it would be signed afterward. Only after the show, when entering the meet-and-greet room, were we told our item would not be permitted and that only Mr. Richards’ book could be signed — a book that was not available for purchase at the event and which we had no way of knowing to bring. The situation was handled in a very distressing way. Security staff were aggressive and confrontational, yelling at patrons and getting inches from guests’ faces. Several attendees were visibly upset and in tears. We later learned that another attendee was permitted to have a poster signed after approval from management, demonstrating inconsistent enforcement of the rules. We hope City Winery will improve communication of meet-and-greet policies prior to purchase and ensure guests are treated respectfully. This experience was not what we expected from a professional venue.

I was honestly pretty underwhelmed by my visit to City Winery Nashville. We booked a wine tasting, but when we arrived the hostess seemed unsure about it and had to call someone for help before seating us. A server then came over and told us the wine tasting experience was not up and running yet, and instead we could choose a flight of wines ourselves. They did try to accommodate us, but it was disappointing not to receive what we specifically came for. I expected a guided tasting where the staff selected and explained the wines as a group experience. Instead we had to pick everything ourselves and were not even given extra glasses to share. Their website really needs updating because it feels misleading. Overall it felt more like a venue space than an actual winery experience.

City Winery consistently has great shows, great food and Horrible Service. They are understaffed,, and you have to wait a long time for a drink or food. We went for Valentine’s Day, paid $90 for “love songs” in the upstairs lounge, and there was ONE bartender for 200 people. We sat at the bar, waited 30 minutes to be acknowledged before I went downstairs to get our drinks. When I returned 20 minutes later, the bartender Still had not acknowledged my boyfriend. After asking how we could order dinner and was ignored, l went downstairs and ordered food from the manager. The food arrived just as the show was ending. So much for a nice Valentine’s Day dinner. In addition to trying to get food and drinks, The event was sold out, so was the concert downstairs, and they had TW0 people scanning tickets. Folks were confused and there was no direction to let folks know that everyone stands in the same line for both events. It was chaos leaving a lot of people frustrated. It’s a great venue with a lot to offer but they have to do better with service. It’s not the place to go for a special occasion dinner. You may to eat before you go.

I attended the production of The Vagina Monologues last night at City Winery. It was wonderful. The only complaint I have is that servers kept walking back and forth (and often standing or talking too loudly to patrons) in front of us during the performance. That was annoying and inhibited our enjoyment and attention to the performance. There should be some way to avoid this. Perhaps the venue staff should stop taking orders, serving food and drinks, and taking payment once a performance starts. If there is an intermission, it would be appropriate for them to interact with patrons. There was no such intermission during this program. It really did inhibit my enjoyment of The Vagina Monologues. The venue was great overall, though the seating was a little tight. I'm glad to see that C W now has valet parking, though I wish it had been mentioned at the time I bought our tickets.
