- DADee AnnaJan 5, 20264.0My husband and I went for their New Year's Eve celebration. Each course came out and the food was cold, the white asparagus soup especially was absolutely the worst. However, I have every intention of returning for regular dinner service to get a better, more fair assessment of the quality of food. The menu looks incredible. Beer? Fabulous. Service? Fabulous. The atmosphere? Lovely. And we had an excellent time. Unfortunately, not all dishes do well when you're trying to seat a restaurant full of people at the same time.

The food was just ok in my opinion. The potato pancakes were not very good and overpriced in my opinion at $7 each. There was no food items for kids. Overall, it's a nice place just know what to expect.

It’s really just local vendors that come out and sell their product and there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s just not what I’ve experienced when I lived in Germany where you can smell the bratwurst cooking outside and the Glüh Wein. Yes, it’s cold but that’s how the Germans do it, so it’s not a German Christmas market by their standards. I was going to go inside and get a brat which was 7.50 and would’ve had no problem paying that price, however another four dollars for sauerkraut is a bit high for me when I can get a whole can for a couple of bucks three at the most at Aldi. I also understand we are in a bad economy and so I don’t judge them too hard and it was a nice environment inside. It’s more of a walk up and order and sit down kind of place but still very nice and good beer reasonably priced by today’s standard. It’s very noisy like many German beer halls so if you like to speak a little louder than most or want to bring kids, it shouldn’t be an issue. Also, they had some vegetarian options for those few of you that don’t eat meat.
