  While visiting in Charleston, we stumbled across this little gem! Take a stroll down E. Bay st and you’ll see some water grates in the sidewalk. Look closer and there will be a few skeletons trying to escape! Beyond the skeletons, there is a small window into a local speakeasy in downtown Charleston. Push the door nearby open, walk past the do not enter sign, down the stairs and voila, you find The Vauté. It was bustling busy, but worth getting a quick cocktail before turning in for the night. Bartenders were very attentive, great service!

  Confused by the great reviews. My cocktail and my partner’s beer were terrible. Music was a little too loud and didn’t fit the space. Bartender was very nice. Restaurant upstairs looks awesome though!

  Our service was excellent by Lara! Food was also spectacular: oysters, Brussel sprouts, steak, crab stuffed flounder, and Carmel dessert!

  We had an absolute amazing experience! I think his name was Avery, he was our bartender at the bar. He greeted us with a smile and made us feel so special from the moment we sat down. Our drinks were delicious! He was so friendly, so kind and made our night memorable. You can tell he loves crafting cocktails! We will definitely be back because of the excellent service! Thank you!
