- JJJohn Jacob1 day ago1.0Was really disappointed with my experience yesterday. I got there before the movie started so I could order food and a server never came by to take my order the whole time. There were no buttons to press to grab the server’s attention like other Movie Taverns have.

My teenage daughter and I enjoy the shows as the main event of our day. The food is about the quality of sit down casual places like Chili's or Applebee's. A step up from snack bar food. Choices are better than Regal, RC, AMC theaters. And the added service of delivery to you theater seat is very convenient. We love our movie days at Movie Tavern Exton.

Before my mom passed away in 2022 we would make it a tradition to enjoy our favorite past time at this location together. I even took here ashes with me to see the Woman King. Yesterday 11/10/25 I took my family of over 10 people to thw movies to keep this tradition alive. When I went up to the ticket counter (by my self) no one else had arrived yet. To exchange a ticket for handicap seating. The person at the desk were you would purchase tickets keep asking questions about how many of my tickets were actually children. Suggesting such things like I bring ever child up to verify thierbage & who in my party might know all thier ages. To avoid all this I immediately just suggested upgrading all the tickets to adults, as to not ruin the evening & I had only gone up to ask to exchange a ticket for one of my handicap family members seat. I can understand if before we entered the theater if someone had seen my kids & questioned the ages of my children "no problem" as O will admit . I did not know children's tickets are for ages 11 & under. We had 11 tickets 4 adults & the rest children tickets. I upgraded all the tickets, however only 3 kids were over 11. Although the upgrading of the tickets is not that big a deal. The fact that I was harassed at the ticket counter about pre-purchased tickets W/O any evidence that my purchase was invalid, really does not sit well with me and could have potentially turned a sentimental evening into a bad one really hurts. Still give this place 10 out of 10
