  I had a disappointing experience at the Fulton Street location of iPic Theaters. My seat was dirty, the table was sticky, and overall cleanliness was lacking. The menu was also in poor condition—ripped up and worn out, which didn’t leave a great impression. For a theater that’s supposed to offer a premium experience, I expected much better upkeep and attention to detail. I’ve also been reaching out regarding this issue and have received no response. I’ve been told multiple times that the phones are off, making it nearly impossible to get in contact with anyone, which makes the situation even more frustrating.

  When we arrived at the theater, our seats were not clean. Food and debris from the previous guests were still on the table. We had to request that the table and seats be cleaned, which should have already been done prior to our arrival. After placing our order, two of our items were never delivered. The remaining food took an excessive amount of time to come out. We also did not receive a blanket. This level of service is unacceptable. We also requested to speak with a manager, and no one ever came to address our concerns. The lack of responsiveness and poor service throughout our visit was extremely disappointing.

  iPic Theaters is such a great spot - whether you’re going on a date, meeting a friend, or just treating yourself to a solo movie night. The whole experience feels elevated compared to a regular cinema, with comfortable seating and a really nice atmosphere. The food and drinks are actually worth mentioning (which is rare for movie theaters). I had the cheddar popcorn, loaded nachos, and truffle fries and everything was amazing and way better than typical theater snacks. It really adds to the overall experience. Definitely one of my go-to cinemas when I want something a little more special than just watching a movie 🎬

  After being seated, 45 minutes into the movie, not a single person had come to take my order. I pressed the service button, and still nobody came. I was watching staff serve other tables some even twice while I was completely ignored. At this point, I was highly irritated and had to get up to find a waiter myself just to place my order. I didn’t get my food until around 9PM, even though the movie started at 7:45 PM. I ordered a glass of red wine, chicken skewers, green beans, and ice cream but the service didn’t improve. When my food finally arrived, there were no utensils or napkins. I had to get up in the middle of the movie just to find a fork, and by the time I returned, my food was cold. The ice cream I ordered didn’t arrive until after the movie ended, while I was speaking to the manager in the hallway. The waiter actually tried to hand me a bowl of ice cream right then and there. I was in complete disbelief , the manager even witnessed it! Seriously, what was I supposed to do, walk out of the theater carrying a bowl of ice cream? Unbelievable. To make matters worse, staff had no problem coming to grab the menu mid-movie, but couldn’t manage basic service when it actually mattered. I ended up sending everything back because I was completely turned off and just wanted to walk out. Although I wasn’t charged, that’s not the point. I came for a relaxing, luxury experience and got the complete opposite. I could have stayed home and ordered the movie! In all 33 years of going to the movies, this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. I would not recommend IPIC or this location at all. If you do go, you’re better off trying the Fort Lee location. IPIC, please do better. 0/10 experience. Also planning to share this experience on TikTok.

  Pay attention to the three dollar signs--this is moviegoing with all the bells and whistles. I ended up at iPic for a Tuesday matinee to see Send Help. I've never been to iPic before but the showtime worked for my schedule. I don't think I'll be back again unless it's on someone else's dime. I'm not normally one to write reviews, but this place is such a terrible value for your money I had to share. The ticket selection process is opaque and the first cash grab you encounter. The cheapest seat I could get for, again, a Tuesday matinee was $19. Good thing I looked online, at the ticket counter I was presented with premium seat options and blanched at the $30 ticket price. The first 2 rows are their standard seats. I ended up in the 2nd row, which really isn't a bad view. If you want to sit in the very front row they have these cozy looking pods, but guess what--you have to buy 2 tickets to sit there. My $19 seat did not come with service at my seat so I ordered at the concession stand. No big deal, I'm also saving money on a tip since I don't have a server. From there you wait for a text alerting you your order is ready. On principle I don't think movie theaters should be encouraging phone use, so I didn't love that. Navigating the heavy theater door with a heavy tray of food was also not great. My grilled cheese was around $17, and was tasty and high quality. If you do end up sitting in the non premium seats I'd recommend arriving early so you can order, wait for your food to be made, and pick it up before the movie starts. The bathroom situation is bizarre. First, there's only 1 for all the movie theaters, if I was there during a busy time the line would have lasted forever. It's also upstairs and through the over-designed restaurant. Once you make the trek and are about to pee your pants you realize the worst part of the entire place: the doors to the bathroom stalls are FROSTED GLASS???? You can see for yourself in the photo. 2 stars because the food was good, the seat was comfortable enough, and the service was fine. I hope most of my money goes to the workers there, but I doubt it because on top of the rent for their Financial District location, there are so many weird features to this theater it must cost an arm and a leg just for upkeep. This is clearly a "luxury" experience but only if you shell out top dollar across the board. In the era of movie theaters having full meal options that are brought to your seat (no matter what seat you choose), or the standard movie experience of popcorn at the concession stand with deals like matinee pricing, I had a bit of both experiences at an outrageous price. I'm a movie lover and always prefer to see movies in theaters, but there were so many "gotcha" moments it really affected my experience.
