  My family and I have been familiar with Lou Lou Lounge for a long time since it’s a local spot that many people in the neighborhood visit. I would not call it a terrible place overall, but the situations we’ve witnessed recently are extremely concerning and have changed our perception of this establishment. First, the security staff has become increasingly rude, aggressive, and unprofessional. They have resorted to using high-grade pepper spray outside the venue, which is a completely inappropriate and dangerous method of handling situations in a crowded environment. Secondly, last night my husband and I came with another couple for a quiet evening and some drinks. While our husbands stepped outside for a smoke, they were approached by three women who aggressively insisted on getting their phone numbers. When my husband and his friend politely explained that they were married and that their wives were inside, the women became upset and complained to the manager, claiming the men were rude to them. Instead of de-escalating or hearing both sides, the manager immediately sided with these women, despite them being the ones who initiated the interaction. We were essentially pushed into leaving the establishment without any proper investigation into what actually happened. Whether these women are regular patrons or something else is not for me to determine, but it is extremely troubling that the environment allows — or at least fails to prevent — situations where aggressive strangers can target and harass married men, and management chooses to support this behavior. Overall, Lou Lou Lounge has become a place where we no longer feel safe or respected. The lack of professionalism from both management and security, combined with the troubling interactions tolerated on the premises, make it a place we can no longer recommend to anyone in the neighborhood.
