    almost none of the food on the menu was available, just old wings sitting out, the food line moved at glacier speed, theater was freezing (complained and they said the heat wasn't working), trash was overflowing everywhere - it seemed like the main issue was that the entire place was being run by teenagers who (naturally) are going to lack the sense of urgency and quality service and expertise on how to fix issues like no heat

    I recently went to see an R-rated movie and had an extremely disappointing experience. The employee Felicia was unnecessarily hostile. Not just towards me, but towards several other customers as well. I noticed she made other customers and her coworker very uncomfortable. Her tone and attitude were aggressive and unwelcoming. Rather than calmly verifying identification, she seemed to approach each interaction with suspicion and hostility, which created a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere. Going to the movies should be an enjoyable experience, but this encounter left a sour taste. I hope management addresses this behavior and reminds staff that professionalism and courtesy go a long way in customer service.

    I visited the Watchung theater on Sunday, January 5, 2026. Just to find out that my show was not playing. Spoke to Assistant Manager Felicia, regarding the situation. Ms. Felicia explained to me that there was an issue with some of the theaters and that it was being working on and apologized about the inconvenience. Ms. Felicia offered another movie which was showing a little later but because of the time difference I was unable to stay. Ms. Felicia also asked if I purchased through a third party or Cinemark app. I stated that I purchased through a 3rd party. Since it was a third-party app, Ms. Felicia was not sure if she could do a refund but kindly tried and it worked. but was unable to get the web service fee back. Ms. Felicia said that I should try and contact the third party and that maybe they would be able to refund the service fee. Ms. Felicia also stated that I should purchase the tickets through the Cinemark app and that way it would be easier to be notified if a show has to be cancelled. Just want to say Thank you to Ms. Felicia for all her assistance and taking the time to talk to me.

    Absolutely RIDICULOUS!! My friends and I are all 22 years old. Visibly old enough to drive and all have multiple tattoos. We were ID’d at the ticket line and my friend and I had our IDs on us, but my second friend only had a picture because we have never had an issue with showing a picture ID for a rated R movie. I have NEVER experienced someone as hostile as the assistant manager FELICIA at the Watchung Cinemark. Even other employees looked terrified of her and knew she was acting out of line. As someone who is supposed to be able to calm the situation and present a solution, she did a terrible job. This has happened to me before, and I had showed a picture ID no problem, I even heard the employee say “she’s not having it today”; which leads me to believe there was more that could have been done in a more pleasant manner, she just did not want to deal with it. Because of her attitude and the nastiness, we will never be returning although cinemark has been great to me in the past. Things change I suppose! We ended up buying tickets for a later show at AMC. I would understand if she had a completely different attitude about it, but we were immediately met with hostility. Watch out for her! If it’s a bad day for her, she’ll take it out on you too.

    ⭐ 1 Star – Extremely Disappointed with Cinemark I am completely disappointed and frustrated with Cinemark’s policies. I lost $47 because, due to an unexpected situation, I was unable to attend the movie. Even after calling corporate, the only response I received was: “It’s company policy.” What makes this even worse is that we are NOT asking for a refund. We simply asked to exchange the tickets for another current date, which is something very reasonable. When I went to the theater in person, there were more than 30 empty seats in that same showing. Those seats went unused anyway, which clearly shows that this was not a real loss for them—just a complete lack of willingness to help a customer. These are exactly the kinds of policies that make customers stop choosing Cinemark. With all the money this company makes, they couldn’t show the smallest amount of empathy, not even during the holiday season, when they could have made a simple exception. If you’re looking for a theater that actually values its customers, like AMC, choose a better option. Cinemark lost loyal customers over a cold, rigid, and unfair policy ⭐ 1 estrella – Total decepción con Cinemark Estoy completamente decepcionada y en desacuerdo con las políticas de Cinemark. Perdí $47 dólares porque, por una situación de fuerza mayor, no pude asistir a la función, y aun llamando a corporate, la respuesta fue simplemente: “son políticas de la compañía”. Lo más indignante es que NO estamos pidiendo reembolso de dinero, solamente pedimos que nos permitieran usar esos boletos para una fecha actual, algo totalmente razonable. Además, cuando fui personalmente al cine, había más de 30 asientos vacíos en esa misma función, es decir, esos espacios igual se perdieron. Eso demuestra que no se trata de pérdida para ellos, sino de falta total de voluntad para ayudar a un cliente. Estas son exactamente las políticas que hacen que las personas dejen de ir a Cinemark. Con todo el dinero que esta compañía maneja, no son capaces de tener un mínimo de empatía con sus clientes, ni siquiera en fechas festivas, donde pudieron haber hecho una excepción. Por eso, si buscan un cine que sí valore a sus clientes, como AMC, elijan mejor otra opción. Cinemark perdió clientes fieles por una política rígida, fría y cero humana.
