I will never go to this theatre. I do not recommend anyone support this theatre. I can’t believe that a dying industry like a movie theater chooses to discriminate and lose business. Never did I think a 5 year old child with special needs would be getting kicked out of a children’s movie because she was excited while watching a children’s movie… a movie for children who are innocent and playful. This theatre caused a 5 year old and hard working loving mother to cry and be excluded from her family function because the staff has no concept of laws/rights of protection from discrimination of special needs, and the lack of emotional intelligence to understand that if a child isn’t screaming or throwing things, but simply flailing arms and giggling at a CHILDRENS MOVIE, that they are not being disruptive and had no reason for being kicked out. Not one customer complained, it was the staff who took it upon themselves to ruin what should have been a fun evening to end up being a traumatic experience.

I wanted to love my experience. The movie theater itself is really nice and elegant. The presentation sells you to think you are going to have a great experience. However unfortunately that was not our experience. When we arrived everything seemed fine, we went in to watch the new Mario movie as a family. Let’s make it clear, that it was a kids movie and you can expect that in a theater full of kids not every kid is going to be still and quiet. It was my family as well as my sisters. We took all of our kids and we were enjoying the movie fine up until the manager started constantly asking my sister to control my niece who is on the spectrum. When we first arrived my sister advised the staff that my niece was on the spectrum and that is why we chose seats as far back as possible. My niece got happy while watching the movie and started jumping and flapping her arms around and making giggling noises. She was not screaming or making any type of noise that was disruptive. Just simply enjoying herself. Now I would understand had she been throwing a tantrum or being disruptive but she wasn't. She was acting like any kid who is excited would act regardless of being on the spectrum or not. There were kids not on the spectrum speaking loudly and running around the theater who were not once addressed. Nobody surrounding us complained or even once addressed there being an issue because my niece was not disrupting anyone. However, her not sitting in her seat was enough of a reason for the manager to kick my sister and my niece out. Now I get that people want to go out and enjoy a movie and had my niece been causing commotion or something of the sort we would have addressed the situation before even being approached but that was not the case. She was a child enjoying a movie who ended up heartbroken and crying because the staff felt that she didn't belong. She was discriminated against over something she cant control and I think its a shame that in the world that we live in, mothers have to deprive their children of being around people because people are so entitled to think that during a KIDS MOVIE a child needs to sit perfectly still and make zero noise even when out of their control. Disgusting is what that type of mentality is. All kids deserve to live all sorts of experiences and this one has officially been ruined over prejudice from the staff. What should have been a beautiful experience turned into one that left a sour taste in all our mouths. I would NEVER recommend anyone this theater

Parents with special needs children should be aware not to purchase tickets for their children for this theater due to discrimination and no inclusivity for our little special super heroes. My family and I decided to take our children as a family to watch the Super Mario Galaxy movie. We were so exited to go because my daughter is obsessed with Mario and it is her favorite movie. We decided to purchase 12 tickets in total and we were all together this way we can accommodate my daughter who is under the spectrum and we can all help her out with anything she might need. Our family took the rows next to each other and back rows and front rows as well so that we can surround her. My daughter was so exited to be there that she started to stand up and started to react with the characters. She was extremely happy and could not control her excitement. This is when we got approached several times by the manager and asked me to please keep my daughter seated and calm because she was being a bit loud. This is something extremely hard and almost impossible to do with a child under the spectrum specially when they are so exited and happy. I did everything I could but she was so happy that she could not control herself. I understand that out of respect for others there should be silence at a movie theater but this is a kids movie with a great amount of children in the theater. It was not an adult movie where otherwise it would make absolutely sense and this is why I never even thought of taking my daughter to watch a different movie but being that it was Mario and it has been advertised as a Movie with inclusivity and it has been promoted to be a great experience for our special needs children I decided to take my daughter to see it. I never imagined that a moment that was supposed to be so special and happy for us would turn out to be one of the worst experiences for my daughter and my family. We where made to leave because my daughter was not allowed to stay and this was the most heartbreaking experience for my daughter. She cried her eyes out and all she can say was movie and repeat the same again and again. I know in her mind she could not comprehend why she was made to to leave behind one of the best days of her life. To me it was heartbreaking watching her cry and just pointing with her hand to take her back in the theater and repeat the word movie again and again. This has been one of the worst of experiences in her life and it was all because of the lack of understanding and inclusivity of the manager in this theater. I believe that things can be done for these children so that they can also enjoy like everyone else. Maybe a time schedule for only special needs and for all types of children at these movie theaters explaining that special needs children will be attending as well this way who ever might be bothered by their happiness will not be annoyed . Our kids should not have to be discriminated because in the minds of others they don't belong to be around them. I will never be able to explain to my daughter this heartbreak because all she knows to understand is love and unfortunately love and understanding is what has been lost in this world.

I am extremely disappointed and upset by what occurred at this theater. Yesterday, a child with autism, my friend’s daughter was asked to leave simply for expressing herself differently while watching a movie. Behaviors such as laughing loudly, moving around, or showing excitement are not “misbehavior”, they are part of how some children experience and enjoy the world. What should have been a joyful and inclusive experience turned into something hurtful and discriminatory. Instead of showing patience, understanding, or basic compassion, staff chose to remove a child for being different. This is not only unacceptable, it may also be a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Under Title III, movie theaters are considered public accommodations and are prohibited from discriminating against individuals with disabilities. They are required to provide equal access and ensure that individuals are not excluded or treated differently because of their disability. Movie theaters should be safe, welcoming spaces for ALL families. I strongly urge management to properly train staff on disability awareness, inclusion, and ADA requirements so that no other child has to go through this again.

I had a terrible experience at this movie theater when my family and I went to attempt to enjoy the Mario Galaxy movie. We rented over 12 seats and occupied half of the room. My autistic cousin was in the group, and she was excited while watching the movie, standing from her seat occasionally. The General manager Victor Rezabala approached us many times to advise the baby couldn’t stand from her seat, although she wasn’t obstructing anyones view as the people sitting behind us were also part of our group. No one in the theatre complained about the baby, however Victor asked my aunt and baby to leave. This was very discriminatory towards a child who cannot manage her emotions. She wasn’t bothering anyone BUT that manager. Terrible experience, will NEVER come again
