Fantastic show. Most entertaining show I have seen in years. Dick Marlin, the emcee, is hilarious. Must see if you live in or around AC or are visiting.

If you have ever seen Absynthe in Vegas, this is the little brother of that show. Nonstop action, nonstop laughter, nonstop inappropriateness. If you can’t laugh at raunchy vaudeville type humor, don’t come. But if the idea of seeing a Vegas type show in an intimate venue in Atlantic City sounds like fun, you won’t be disappointed.
Beyond the laughter, you have to respect the athleticism of the performers! Well done.

We went to the show for my husbands birthday and we loved it, we had a great time and lots of laughs. For the people giving it low reviews it must suck going through life with no sense of humor. He tells you what you’re going to be watching before it even starts so that’s when all the KARENS should exit. We highly recommend this show for anyone who has an open mind and likes to have fun.

We first saw the show 2 years ago when they had two host comedians. There were many different acts and the show was quite entertaining. There was banter between the two comedian hosts and a good amount of audience interaction. There was a storyline and everything made sense as a cohesive show. The one thing that we were disappointed in was not seeing some of the acts that were heavily advertised, such as the bathtub show, the pole, dancer, and the two aerial artists. We decided that it being 2 years since we saw the first show that we would go back and see what was new.
We booked the show at 9:00 p.m. on October 11th. I would say that the theater was a quarter empty, but that may be due to either the economy or the time of year. Two years prior, the show was also brand new. Anyway, they have a new host who is absolutely hilarious. Very funny and adds a lot to the show. However, there were only a total of seven performers if you include the host. There were two acts by the magician who was the same magician from 2 years ago with seemingly the same exact acts, the hair artist performed two different acts, and the pole dancer performed two acts. There was zero storyline. The boat crashes into the boardwalk and comes through the curtain and nothing is said about it except for a joke about it costing $400,000 and it being there for no reason. My boyfriend and I talked about that and how it would be funny to people who had seen the show prior. Otherwise, that joke was lost on everybody, I am sure. They need to create a new reason why the boat is there for their show to be more successful and entertaining. That was the whole storyline of the original show.
The show was supposed to be an hour and a half, and it was barely an hour. It did not start at 9:00 and we were out of the theater by 10:15. That was disappointing. We ate at Superfrico at 6:00, and that was disappointing as well (see review). It seemed like the performers just came on stage and did their act and then left. There wasn't any storyline or cohesion to what was going on at all. The host at one point read an adult story that we felt was filler material for an act not performing. I would say I was more confused by the show than anything. The acts performed so quickly, I feel like half the audience didn't even know what happened before the performer was off stage. I expected a lot more seeing as now the show has been running for 2 years. Yes, there are new acts, but I believe the one juggler, the magician, the hair artist are all from the original crew. We weren't sure about the pole dancer because we didn't see her the first time, but she may be from the original crew as well as the male dancer at the end. Also, at the end there was a person who came out as a performer who did not perform at the show. We were wondering who that person even was.
The amount of time the show was supposed to be versus what it actually was, the lack of storyline that the original show possessed, the quickness that the performers left the stage... I actually felt the awkwardness of the performers. The fact that the theater was a quarter empty probably caused that. That's most likely why they scooted off stage so quickly. If you don't have the audience to hype you up, you're going to feel awkward.
As I've said in my review, I feel like the show needs a storyline, or they need to have more performers, and more variety of performers. They were all very talented, but there needs to be more variety. More aerial, acts, some tumblers, etc. The jugglers are always fun to watch!
We'll probably give it another 2 years, even though the hostess at Superfrico said that seasonally they add performers ( no evidence of that seen). There were actually less performers and less acts than 2 years prior. After that, we'll probably be done with the show unless the reviews are absolutely amazing. There was a lot of hype from everyone about the restaurant and the show and it just did not live up to the original show. The new host is amazing!
