  Appallingly UNPROFESSIONAL and CONDESCENDING. My sister-in-law put down the required deposit to reserve her wedding date with this company. About a month later, they reached out to ask if she would be willing to cancel her booking so that they could accommodate another party interested in the same date. They offered a partial refund of her deposit if she agreed. She politely agreed to give up her date. Fast-forward another month — still no refund. When she finally followed up about the refund, they completely denied ever making that promise, pretending the arrangement never existed and blaming her for canceling. The level of dishonesty and gaslighting in their response was astonishing, and their tone throughout was dismissive and downright rude. It’s hard to believe a legitimate business would treat clients this way. The lack of integrity, professionalism, and basic courtesy is astounding. Do not book with these people— they have zero professionalism, zero accountability, and zero respect for their clients. This company cannot be trusted.

  Horrendously disrespectful and just outright rude. We attempted to rent this hall for an event and we were hoping to just pay the deposit, secure the date and be good to go. The staff member we dealt with insisted we had to look at the location ( which is extremely difficult as we have a new baby who is medically fragile due to conditions related to her birth, another child who has autism , my husband works full time and I run a small business) we set up one date and needed to reschedule as our daughter ended up needing an urgent doctors appointment. We called the day We were supposed to meet with him the second time and asked if it would it be OK if we came in tomorrow morning as my husband had been called into a work Meeting. The man became extremely irritable, and stated “ this is getting ridiculous * laughs* how about you just show up whenever you want buddy boy. I’m not going to waste my time setting up a date with you” in an extremely condescending and aggressive tone. my husband is an extremely mild mannered so this man was fortunate to have spoken with him and not myself. If it had been me I would have kindly educated him on how to properly speak to costumers or clientele. I understand that needing to reschedule with short notice can be frustrating but there’s absolutely no need to be this disrespectful. If he was that Inconvenienced just politely state “maybe we are the correct hall for you i hope you find a hall that can accommodate your busy schedule “ instead of being blatantly disrespectful to potential customers. Looks like we dodged a bullet.

  Please know that I had the most wonderful experience working with john jeremy at The Marlborough House. He brought my lofty plans into a magical reality. Twenty close friends and family enjoyed an evening of professional music by The International String Trio. The company were also delighted by wonderful food fare suggested and created by The Marlborough House. All of this took place in an open floored beautifully lit old church as guests shared fellowship in cozy vignettes of eclectic accommodations. john jeremy took the ball and ran with it, offering a lit marquis and a wonderfully designed program. I couldn't have asked for more in the planning and execution of a dream I have had for years. A larger, totally different event is already in the works for me and I have no doubt that The Marlborough House will more than meet my needs. Sincerely Michelle Ryan
