Every quarter my friends from Highschool and I try to get together and share a nice meal to catch up on life in the last 20 years. We always try to pick a new restaurant and this time wanted a rooftop restaurant. It's a beautiful place. The food did take a little longer but I assumed it was because it was busy. it wasn't the best but we were there to enjoy the company. Our waiter was great and even took our pictures outside. We all paid our checks and walked to where the elevator was. We took our time taking more pictures and as we were about to leave, security runs up and asks if we all paid. I was in shock especially if we have taken our time to stop and take pictures. We told security we did pay and that two had paid at the bar, but we would wait for him to verify. They were able to confirm all 8 of us had paid. I will say my group of friends are highly educated women who have respectable jobs and would never consider not paying for our meals. I understand they have to do their job, but it was very unprofessional for him to come back and say yes we had paid and we were free to go. The manager should have come out and apologized on the restaurant's behalf. It really left a bad taste and I have told many of my friends I am not recommending this establishment.

Update:
After the owner publicly replied asking me to contact them, I did exactly that. I emailed and called multiple times over several weeks. Unfortunately, the manager never got back to me — no apology, no explanation, no attempt to understand what happened. Every time I called, I was either told someone would follow up or simply brushed off. No one ever did.
This is extremely disappointing and honestly says a lot. At this point, it’s clear this wasn’t just a “bad night,” but a management issue. No wonder the experience was what it was.
The original review is below:
"If I could give this place negative stars, I absolutely would. When it comes to dining out, I’m usually very easygoing and not hard to please. But the experience my wife and I had at this restaurant was, without exaggeration, the worst food I’ve ever had in my life. We went there for dinner, and my wife ordered a drink, it took about 30 minutes to arrive. The server apologized, saying they were very busy, though most of the tables were empty and only a few guests were there. We wanted to try something different, so we ordered Fries and NC Crab Dip as starters. The fries were almost raw — cold and stiff in the middle, so much that we had to use a knife to cut them because a fork wouldn’t do it. The crab dip looked nothing like the photos on Google. It was just a dish full of white sauce with barely any crab, to the point I honestly wondered if it was leftovers from another table. We didn’t touch it. For the main course, I ordered the Grilled Shrimp Tacos, and my wife got the Primavera. My tacos were ice cold, basically a soft taco with a couple of ounces of water from shrimp on top — it felt like something straight out of the refrigerator. My wife’s Primavera was even worse — the bread was burnt black, and they had just thrown a few green leaves on top. She didn’t take a single bite. And if you’re wondering what happened after eating those “Fries,” well, we both got food poisoning that night. Honestly, I can’t believe a restaurant could serve food this bad. Maybe something was seriously off that night, maybe the kitchen wasn’t fully operating or they’d run out of ingredients, but everything they brought to our table was awful. It was so bad that we didn’t even want to complain or speak to the manager. We just wanted to leave as fast as possible."

Not a lot of gluten free menu options. Limited rye whiskey options.
